Position: Inventory Coordinator                             

Location: Stonehouse                  

Salary: £15.38 per hour

Working hours: Monday to Friday 08.00- 16:30

Contract Type: Temporary

Omega has an excellent opportunity to work with one of the Gloucestershire’s leading manufacturers, playing a critical role in maintaining and improving accuracy across the operation.

Key Responsibilities- Inventory Coordinator

  • Execute daily, weekly and monthly cycle count activities in accordance with the inventory control plan.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies identified through cycle counting, stock takes and operational transactions.
  • Ensure all inventory adjustments are accurately processed, documented and approved in line with company procedures.
  • Support the preparation, coordination and execution of annual and periodic stock takes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the inventory management systems.
  • Work closely with Warehouse, Production and Purchasing teams to identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies.
  • Support the investigation and reconciliation of material shortages impacting production.
  • Manage inventory transactions related to disposals, scrap, reworks and quarantined stock.
  • Verify physical stock movements align with system transactions and established processes.
  • Conduct regular audits of warehouse locations, stock handling activities and inventory processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency through process improvements.
  • Support warehouse layout reviews and stock location optimisation activities.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of inventory management procedures and work instructions.
  • Support new product introductions, product withdrawals and engineering changes to ensure inventory records remain accurate.
  • Collaborate with Finance during month-end and year-end stock reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure inventory control activities comply with company policies, procedures and audit requirements

Qualifications & Requirements – Inventory Coordinator

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in inventory management, warehouse operations or stock control
  • Experience performing cycle counts, stock takes and inventory reconciliations
  • Experience using SAGE 200/ SICON (desirable)
  • Good understanding of inventory control principles and stock management processes
  • Understanding of Lean, 6S, root cause analysis and CI methodologies
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to analyse data and identify inventory trends
  • Highly organised and methodical

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team and work in one of their busy Distribution Centres.

The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within the Westfield Distribution Centre.

You will be the first line in all maintenance issues throughout your allocated site. You may be required to request specialist attendance following initial call out.

The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPM’s. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.  

Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Technician

Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.  Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.  Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.  Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance  Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs  Follow purchase order process.  Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.  Ensure that compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times

Qualifications & Experience – Maintenance Technician

Educated to GCSE / Standard Grade level as a minimum, ideally NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.  City and Guilds 2382 18th editionAM2/23913 phase electrics and its applications   Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers and microwaves
