The Role - Project Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and confident Project Manager to join a rapidly scaling Aerospace engineering business in Gloucestershire.

You will be responsible for managing projects through the full project lifecycle, taking responsibility for budgets, delivery, and stakeholder management for complex engineering projects.

You'll need to be comfortable working in an evolving and scaling business, whilst working closely with global OEMs in the aerospace and defence sector.

 

Duties - Project Manager

  • Developing detailed project plans, setting timelines, defining milestones.
  • Coordinating and overseeing cross-functional teams.
  • Managing project budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying cost-saving activities
  • Acting as the main point of contact for internal & external stakeholders
  • Identifying potential project risks & implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Implementing Lessons Learnt to improve continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Developing standardised project management processes to support function growth.

 

Background - Project Manager

  • Project management within manufacturing, engineering or technical environment
  • Experience in aerospace, defence or space.
  • A track record of running multiple projects concurrently
  • Commercial awareness across budgets, cost and planning.
  • Excellent use of MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Obtained PM qualifications (APM, PMP or PRINCE2)
  • Exposure to AS9100 and OEM customer-specific programme requirements

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team and work in one of their busy Distribution Centres.

The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within the Westfield Distribution Centre.

You will be the first line in all maintenance issues throughout your allocated site. You may be required to request specialist attendance following initial call out.

The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPM’s. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.  

Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Technician

Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.  Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.  Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.  Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance  Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs  Follow purchase order process.  Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.  Ensure that compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times

Qualifications & Experience – Maintenance Technician

Educated to GCSE / Standard Grade level as a minimum, ideally NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.  City and Guilds 2382 18th editionAM2/23913 phase electrics and its applications   Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers and microwaves

Job Role – Management Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Controller the Management Accountant shall work closely with site leadership teams, influence decision making, support cost-saving initiatives and provide financial insight to help manufacturing operations.

Duties – Management Accountant

• Business partnering Centre Managers, Engineering and QA teams to drive operational and financial performance.
• Providing day-to-day financial control across the Worksop manufacturing site.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reporting, forecasts, KPIs and Financial Performance Reports.
• Controlling, analysing and communicating site overhead spend.

Experience/Qualifications – Management Accountant

• CIMA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or operational finance environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience of SAP
