Profile – Manufacturing Test Technician

Duties – Manufacturing Test Technician

  • Test, fault finding, and repair of various electrical and electronic systems and components.
  • Working with the production team to help in the completion of tasks, including tool assembly, calibration, and testing
  • Testing electrical and electromechanical tools based on the procedure and interacting with MRP systems (SAP).
  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing the test equipment used to test tools.
  • Soldering, crimping and general wiring skills
  • Use of hand tools
  • Fault finding
  • Work in accordance with engineering diagram and schematics

Skills/Experience – Manufacturing Test Technician

  • Further education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience

Candidates who are currently an Assembler, Electronics Assembler, PCB Assembler, Electrical Assembler, Production Operative, Wire Person, Manufacturing Operative and Technician could be suitable for this position.

Duties – Engineering Planner

• Create, maintain, and update detailed engineering schedules for projects and services.
• Integrate schedules with overall scope timelines and client requirements.
• Analysis, monitor and report on schedule progress, identifying and addressing potential delays or issues
• Coordinate engineering activities with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Allocate engineering resources effectively to meet project demands.
• Collaborate with resource managers to ensure the availability of required skills and personnel.
• Identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies and scenario plans.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.

Experience/Qualifications – Engineering Planner

• Experience in planning and scheduling within advanced manufacturing
• Demonstratable experience of managing complex engineering schedules
• Proficient in Primavera P6
• Proficient in SAP

You will be responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, and continuous development of the Field Service organisation. Key Responsibilities – Field Service Director

Lead the UK Field Service operation, ensuring efficient delivery of installations, commissioning, maintenance, and breakdown support.Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business and service objectives.Manage workforce planning, resource allocation, and engineering capacity to meet customer demand.Drive service performance through KPI management, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.Act as the senior technical authority, supporting the resolution of complex technical issues and escalations.Lead, coach, and develop Field Service managers and engineers, promoting a high-performance culture.Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and effective resolution of major customer concerns.Maintain compliance with all health & safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.Build strong relationships with key customers, internal stakeholders, OEM partners, and global technical teams.Support succession planning, training, and competency development across the Field Service organisation.·

Qualifications & Experience – Field Service Director

Significant leadership experience within Field Service, Engineering Operations, or Technical Services.Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.Experience within capital equipment, automation, packaging, or food manufacturing industries.Proven experience leading and developing geographically dispersed engineering teams.Strong background in installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support activities.Demonstrated success in improving operational performance and service delivery.Experience managing complex technical issues, customer escalations, and critical service incidents.Strong organisational, planning, and resource management skills.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities.Experience working within SAP and ISO-compliant environments.Commitment to health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.

This is a key role, focused on ensuring operational continuity, maintaining compliance, driving infrastructure improvements, and supporting facility-related projects.

Main Duties  Facilities Maintenance Engineer

 

Manage and maintain site utilities and infrastructure, including electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, extraction, and process support systems.Develop and oversee preventative and reactive maintenance programmes to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.Lead reactive maintenance activities and coordinate effective corrective actions.Manage contractors, including permits to work, RAMS reviews, inductions, and performance monitoring.Ensure compliance with statutory inspections, certification requirements, and health, safety, and environmental legislation.Support facility improvement projects, utility upgrades, equipment installations, and infrastructure developments.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, energy performance, and cost reduction.Maintain maintenance records, compliance documentation, and asset management systems.Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and HSE teams to support business objectives.Support audits, emergency response planning, and business continuity activities.

HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or Facilities Engineering (or equivalent).Proven facilities engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical building services.Experience managing contractors, maintenance systems, and compliance requirements.Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.A proactive approach to health, safety, and continuous improvement.
