Position: Project Engineer

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Job Type: Permanent

Our market leading client who specialises in manufacturing Ultra Low Temperature and High Magnetic Field equipment for the cryogenic community.   

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role you will be managing the technical success factors of any given project for its lifetime within the company. Other responsibilities include:

  • Technical input and management of R&D projects, co-ordination of teams
  • Using, designing, and developing processes to enhance products and improve the company performance
  • Driving the project (projects) to plan
  • Customer service and communications, understanding of customer requirement

Experience or Qualifications –

  • A Mechanical Engineering or Physics degree as a minimum
  • Experience with cryogenic equipment (desirable)
  • Previous experience within an R&D environment.
  • Experience of design systems

Our client, a leading name in the food manufacturing industry, is expanding their team and are seeking a mechanical maintenance engineer to support their growing operation in Redditch on a Monday to Friday double days shift. 

The Role

As one of the on site mechanical maintenance engineers, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of essential site services and equipment including but not limited to:

Process cooking equipment and industrial food cooking ovens.Maintaining and repairing pumps, motors and conveyor systems through a wide range of machinery.General site services such as air compressors and water systems.Training will also be provided for other essential services such as steam boilers and refrigeration systems.You will be working as part of an ever expanding team of engineers driven to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and machine availability.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will be:

A mechanically biased engineer with experience in a manufacturing process environment.Confident working on process equipment and a wide range of site services.
