Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Location: Edinburgh

Pay Range/details: £40,593.78 per annum (salary including on call standby 1:4)

Contract Type: Permanent

 

Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in the recruitment of an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team to work on a leading supermarket contracts. The role will involve maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment in retail outlets, undertaking regular planned store visits to complete reactive, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer (including non-electrical).

 

Key Responsibilities - Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.Deliver reactive and planned catering and bakery equipment maintenanceConduct emergency lighting and fire alarm tests and repairs.Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sitesIdentify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements - Mobile Maintenance Electrician

NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation or maintenance.City and Guilds 18th Edition.AM2 / 2391

Role and Responsibilities – Generator Mechanic
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in inspecting equipment returning from projects for customers, ensuring the equipment is meeting safety standards for field reuse.

Other responsibilities include:

Producing survey reports, conducting maintenance and servicing, providing technical support to other trades, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Provide technical advice and support to other trades regarding fault investigation and generator-related matters.Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Engineering Hygiene, Risk Assessments, and safe working practices in a hazardous environment.Conduct training and mentoring of apprentices.

   Experience or Qualifications – Generator Mechanic

Recognised and accredited trade qualifications of City & Guilds standards or above.Proficient in fault finding and diagnostic abilities on both mechanical and electrical components.Understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), service targets, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Competent computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, MS Teams), and the ability to learn new software systems

First Article Inspector

First Article Inspector required by hugely successful engineering company based in Wolverhampton. The successful First Article Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that components meet the highest standards of aerospace compliance. Also taking ownership of First Article Inspections, collaborating with engineering and production teams, and helping to drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing processes.

Main Duties - First Article Inspector:

Perform complete First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 and customer specific requirements.Verify all dimensions, tolerances and features against engineering drawings and specifications.Produce accurate, detailed FAIR documentation and validation packages for internal and customer approvalRecord inspection data within digital quality systems.Identify, document and escalate non conformances in line with AS9102.Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.Work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve technical queries and improve manufacturability.Support receiving, in process and final inspection activities as required.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: First Article Inspector

A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent aerospace inspection experience.Extensive experience in aerospace dimensional inspection.Strong, hands on AS9102 First Article Inspection experience (essential)Highly proficient in interpreting engineering drawings .Skilled in using precision measurement tools, including:Verniers, Micrometers (inside, outside, depth), Bore gauges, Height gauges, Depth micrometers, Manual and/or CNC CMM.Experience working within AS9100 quality environments.Proficiency with SAP would be advantageous.Highly organised and able to prioritise own workload.Outstanding attention to detail.
