We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established global manufacturing business seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Team Leader to join their production operation in Tewkesbury. Working closely with the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day production activities, driving KPI performance, developing your team, and ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in creating a positive, accountable, and high-performing manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities - Production Team Leader

Support factory planning activities and deputise for the Production Manager when required.Lead the achievement of production KPIs and drive improvements to operational performance.Identify and implement solutions to production challenges and bottlenecks.Plan labour requirements and proactively address resourcing concerns.Ensure daily production output is accurately recorded and reported.Manage disciplinary, capability, and performance-related matters in accordance with company policies.Monitor attendance and sickness levels, conducting return-to-work interviews when required.Carry out appraisals and performance reviews, identifying training and development needs.Lead root cause analysis activities and implement corrective actions to improve quality performance.Support the standardisation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.Take responsibility for opening and closing the factory when required.Champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with customer, quality, and industry standards.Foster a culture of engagement, innovation, teamwork, and accountability.

Key Experience & Qualifications - Production Team Leader

Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.Proven leadership or line management experience.Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within manufacturing.Experience managing employee performance, development, and attendance.Excellent organisational and planning skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and lead teams effectively.Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Location: Dartford

Salary: £64,584 per annum inclusive of shift allowance

We are now seeking a CNC Milling setters to work for an Engineering & Manufacturing company based in Dartford. The appropriate candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls to manufacture precision engineering products.

Responsibilities of CNC Miller:

Setting and operating CNC 5 axis Milling machines with Fanuc controlsWorking on technical engineering drawingsWorking with aluminium and stainless steelAbility to use measuring toolsEnsuring excellent quality through the inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as gauges, verniers and micrometres.

Requirement of CNC Miller:

Ideally, previous experience in setting and operating CNC Milling machines with Fanuc or Haas controlsIdeally apprentice trained or equivalent or time servedAbility to change tools and adjust offsetsAbility to use measuring tools

Due to continued growth and investment in advanced manufacturing technologies, we are seeking an experienced EDM Machinist - Programmer, Setter and Operator to join our skilled production team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating both Wire EDM and Spark Erosion (Sink EDM) machines to produce precision aerospace components to tight tolerances and exacting quality standards.

Working from engineering drawings and CAD data, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality parts while continuously driving efficiency and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Program, set and operate Wire EDM and Spark Erosion machines.Manufacture precision components to aerospace quality requirements.Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.Select and prepare electrodes, tooling, fixtures and materials.Perform machine setup, process optimisation and first-off inspection.Monitor machining operations and adjust ensure quality and productivity.Conduct routine machine maintenance and housekeeping activities.Use precision measuring equipment to verify component conformity.Maintain accurate production and quality records.Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Production teams to meet delivery schedules.Adhere to all health, safety and aerospace quality procedures.

Requirements

Essential

Proven experience as an EDM Machinist, Programmer, Setter and Operator.Strong experience using both:Wire EDM machinesSpark Erosion / Sink EDM machinesAbility to program EDM machines from engineering drawings and CAD data.Skilled in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings.Experience working to tight tolerances within a precision engineering environment.Competent in the use of inspection and measurement equipment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

Aerospace or defence manufacturing experience.Experience with GF, Fanuc, Sodick, Mitsubishi, AgieCharmilles, Makino or similar EDM equipment.Knowledge of aerospace materials including titanium, Inconel, stainless steels and exotic alloys.Understanding of AS9100 quality systems.CAD/CAM programming experience.Apprenticeship or engineering qualification.
