Job Title: Injection Moulding Technician

Salary: £16.50 per hour (+ £3.00 night shift premium)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join a busy and forward-thinking manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for setting and running moulding production orders, ensuring consistent high-quality output. You'll play a key role in achieving Right First Time and Just in Time manufacturing, working with advanced moulding techniques and standardised processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and condition injection mould tools to meet production requirements
  • Run production orders using pre-set programmes, monitoring output quality throughout the shift
  • Respond to machine alarms and faults, implementing permanent corrective actions
  • Carry out routine maintenance and fault finding on injection moulding machines and tooling
  • Control and optimise processing parameters in line with product standards and cost requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, production, and quality checks
  • Support supervision of shift staff when required in the absence of a Supervisor
  • Prepare auxiliary equipment, jigs, fixtures, and assembly machines
  • Perform quality checks in line with company standards and identify defects
  • Carry out first-line troubleshooting of process and quality issues
  • Use and update production monitoring systems (e.g., Blackbird)
  • Ensure safe handling and accurate movement of materials and stock
  • Support tooling trials, processing, and optimisation for new projects
  • Operate forklift truck when licensed
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Injection Moulding Technician
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capability
  • Experience with injection moulding machines, tooling, and process optimisation
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Familiarity with production or ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset
  • Good communication and decision-making ability
  • High attention to detail
  • Continuous improvement mindset with knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles

 

Essential Qualifications

  • IMT Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications (or equivalent)

 

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with tool trials and process optimisation
  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment

 

Role Details

  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Working Hours: Rotating shifts (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)
  • Flexibility required for night shift cover (4:30am start on Mondays when covering early shift)
  • Salary: £16.50 per hour + £3.00 night shift premium

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Mechanical fitter to join our team on a 4-month contract basis. This role is outside IR35, making it well suited to experienced contractors operating via a limited company.

This position is mechanically biased, with a strong focus on maintaining, repairing, and optimising mechanical systems, particularly valves and associated equipment, while still supporting electrical fault-finding where required.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Strong mechanical engineering background with hands-on experience working with valves, pumps, and mechanical repairs.Basic to intermediate electrical fault-finding capability.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.Experience working in maintenance environments with a focus on reliability and uptime.Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Essential Certifications

IPAF (Powered Access Licence)Confined Space Certification

Desirable Experience

The MI Fluids Plant Operator is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery to customers.

Duties – Fluids Plant Operator

• Manages bulk plant facilities to facilitate delivery of prepared products and bulk materials to wellsite’s, maintaining excellent quality control (QC) in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Training other Operators and trainees.
• Ensures compliance with governmental regulations and industry standards, and reduces environmental impacts through observing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
• Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
• Blend and mix bulk products for delivery to the wellsite, on time, according to the job program design.
• Check and/or calculate quantities of material blends required prior to loading.
• Follow Product Line (PL) quality assurance procedures to ensure proper loading.
• Coordinate movement of bulk products to and from locations with the PSD and Logistics Team.
• Assist in conducting monthly inventory and daily paperwork completion for goods received and shipped.
• Label and store additives in a safe manner and ensure the disposal of empty drums and pails.
• Maintain bulk plant equipment by performing a daily check while ensuring the bulk plant is kept clean.
• Participate in job risk analysis and continuous improvement programs.
• Wear PPE and observe HSE policies

Skills/Experience – Fluids Plant Operator

• Forklift truck licence – B1, B3, M3 and D2 considered
• Previous plant / mud plant experience required
