Key responsibilities – Quality Inspector

The person requirements - Quality Inspector

We are looking for a confident CNC Programmer / Production Engineer who can create accurate CNC programs, support shop floor operations, and work closely with engineering, design and production teams to ensure components are manufactured to the highest standard.

The Role

As a CNC Programmer / Production Engineer, you will be responsible for producing CNC programs and all supporting documentation for the shop floor. You will support the wider machine shop operation, including NPI development and small batch work, tooling requirements, routings, job packs and production documentation. This role would suit someone with a strong machining background who enjoys both technical programming and broader production engineering responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities –Production Engineer  

•             Create CNC programs using CAM software

Qualifications & Requirements – Production Engineer      

•             Minimum 3 years’ CNC programming / CAM programming experience

•             Experience using CAM software such as HyperMILL, Mastercam, Edgecam, Siemens NX, SolidCAM, Fusion 360, FeatureCAM, Delcam, PowerMill or similar

•             5-axis programming experience would be highly advantageous

•             A strong machining background across batch production and NPI

•             Experience programming complex, high-precision components

•             Good knowledge of CNC machine tools and manufacturing processes

•             Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T

•             Strong IT skills and good attention to detail

•             Experience with mechanical assembly would be advantageous

Qualifications & Requirements – Production Planner

Proven experience as a Production Planner within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (essential)Strong hands-on problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and qualityExperience in lean manufacturing and process optimisation (desirable)Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointExperience with SAGE200 or IFS systems (desirable – training provided)Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) or above
