We are now seeking to recruit Fabricator / Fitter for the established sheet metal, welding, and fabrication company specialising in bespoke catering trailers.

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced fabricator/fitter to join our team of skilled craftspeople. You’ll be responsible for constructing, fitting out, and finishing bespoke catering trailers to exacting standards. This role centres on precision fitting, panel work, joinery, and finishing — there is no requirement for electrical, plumbing skills.

We welcome applications from Coach Builders, Shop Fitters, Caravan Builders, or anyone with transferable skills in precision fitting, joinery and panel construction who is looking to apply their expertise to specialist vehicle builds.

Key Responsibilities

Construction and Assembly

Construct and assemble catering trailer bodies using aluminium, stainless steel, and composite panelsInterpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders to deliver accurate buildsFabricate and fit internal and external framework, ensuring structural integrityInstall and secure flooring, wall panels, and roof structures to manufacturer and safety standardsInstall doors, hatches, and serving counters with precision fittingFit internal equipment mounting points and support structuresApply sealants, trim, and finishing materials to achieve water-tight, professional resultsInstall external cladding, signage mounting points, and aesthetic featuresConstruct and install internal joinery, counters, shelving, and storage solutions

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in a relevant trade: coach building, shop fitting, joinery, vehicle body building, caravan construction, or precision fitting roleStrong understanding of panel construction techniques and materialsAbility to read and work from technical drawings and specificationsProficiency with hand and power toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanshipAbility to safely lift materials and work in varied physical positions

Position: CNC Machinist - Miller

Location: Gloucester

Position: permanent

Salary:  £37000 to £40000

Working hours: Monday to Friday week 1 6:00 am to 02:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm week 2

Overtimes: paid at premium rate

Responsibilities of CNC setter:

Following technical drawing setting and operating CNC milling machine with Fanuc controls machining aerospace componentsMachining precision parts to tight tolerancesCNC Machinist must be able to set and operate a machine under no supervisionMeasuring, adjusting, and maintaining tight tolerances

Requirements of CNC setter

Previous experience working with Milling CNC machines with Fanuc or Haas controlsStrong ability to read technical drawings and accurately measure components.Experience working to tight tolerances and using measurement tools.A proactive and positive attitude, with the willingness to receive further training.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Job Purpose

To lead the development, implementation, and management of health and safety policies and procedures within the engineering and aerospace environment. The role ensures compliance with relevant legislation, promotes a positive safety culture, and minimises risks to employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures aligned with current legislation and best practise.Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across all operational areas to identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures.Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on health and safety matters, ensuring awareness and understanding across the organisation.Coordinate health and safety training programmes to ensure all personnel meet statutory requirements and internal standards.Monitor and report on health and safety performance using key performance indicators and suggest continuous improvements.Liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and contractors to ensure compliance and best practise standards.Ensure that emergency procedures and contingency plans are in place, regularly reviewed, and tested.Promote a proactive health and safety culture that encourages employee engagement and participation.Manage health and safety documentation, records, and licences to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

Required Qualifications

Education

A degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience

Proven experience in a health and safety managerial role within the engineering or aerospace sectors.Demonstrable experience of conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and accident investigations.Experience of working with regulatory bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).Track record of successfully implementing health and safety management systems in compliance with ISO 45001 or similar standards.

Knowledge and Skills

Comprehensive understanding of UK health and safety legislation and best practises.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging personnel at all levels.Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.Competence in producing clear, concise reports and maintaining accurate documentation.Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications and health and safety management software.

Preferred Qualifications

Membership of a recognised professional body such as the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or the British Safety Council.Additional qualifications or training in environmental management or quality assurance.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily office-based with frequent site inspections in operational and engineering environments.The role requires adherence to personal protective equipment protocols and compliance with site-specific safety rules.Part-time hours offer flexibility but may require occasional attendance outside standard working hours for audits or incident investigations.
