Operations Manager (Customer Service & Operations)

We are partnering with a leading international business that delivers operational, customer service, and asset management solutions to a diverse customer base across the UK. Due to a period of transformation and ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the business on a 9-month fixed term contract.

This is a high-profile leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, customer experience, employee engagement, and continuous improvement across multiple service functions. Managing a small number of direct reports, you will provide leadership across teams of approximately 100 colleagues, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.

Whilst experience within fleet management would be highly advantageous, we are equally keen to speak with candidates from customer service, contact centre, shared service, and other multi-functional operational environments.

Responsibilities - Operations Manager (Customer Service & Operations)

  • Lead and develop a team of operational leaders and managers.
  • Drive performance across multiple customer-facing and back-office functions.
  • Ensure delivery against key operational, customer, and commercial KPIs.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Manage resource planning, productivity, and service delivery across multiple teams.
  • Monitor operational risks and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support change initiatives and business transformation activities.

Experience & Qualifications - Operations Manager (Customer Service & Operations)

  • Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Service Delivery Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
  • Track record of leading managers and large operational teams within customer-focused environments.
  • Strong experience managing KPI-driven operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve performance, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Experience leading through change and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving capability.
  • Fleet management, automotive, leasing, financial services, utilities, or contact centre experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
