This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced production environment. As part of the technical team, you will play a key role in ensuring production plans are achieved through the safe and efficient setting of injection moulding machinery, supporting operational excellence and maintaining high quality standards across the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities - Shift Injection Moulding Setter Leader
As a key member of the setting team, you will be responsible for ensuring mould tools are changed and machines are set in line with production requirements. Your duties will include:
- Setting and optimising injection moulding machines in line with manufacturing plans and product specifications
- Carrying out safe mould tool changes in accordance with company procedures
- Performing basic first-line maintenance on mould tools and production equipment
- Completing and documenting daily and weekly safety checks
- Ensuring mould tools are installed correctly and products meet specification sheets and control samples
- Monitoring product quality and implementing corrective actions where required
- Ensuring the correct materials and stock are used throughout the manufacturing process
- Supporting production operators and providing specialist technical guidance
- Maintaining accurate manufacturing documentation, machine records and product labelling
- Communicating technical issues and production risks to the wider production team
- Driving efficient working practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the department
- Maintaining a safe, organised and clean working environment at all times
Experience & Qualifications - Shift Injection Moulding Setter Leader
- Professional qualification in Injection Moulding and Automated Systems
- Previous experience setting injection moulding machines within a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge of injection moulding processes, machinery and tooling
- Good understanding of manufacturing procedures and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
