Omega are delighted to be supporting a leading organisation in the recruitment of a Food Quality Analyst to join their well-established R&D laboratory in the Leicester area, supporting analytical testing across routine quality control, product innovation, and manufacturing activities.

This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on delivering accurate and reliable test results across a range of food quality parameters. The position would suit someone with experience in food testing who enjoys practical laboratory work and working within structured quality processes.

Main Duties - Food Quality Analyst

Carry out routine analytical testing including oil, salt, and moisture analysisOperate and maintain titrators and other laboratory testing equipmentPrepare samples and conduct testing in line with standard laboratory proceduresPerform calibration, routine checks, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipmentAccurately record, interpret, and report test results within laboratory systemsSupport quality testing for product innovation, shelf-life studies, and manufacturing requirementsEnsure compliance with laboratory safety, quality, and regulatory standardsInvestigate and escalate any issues relating to test results, equipment, or analytical methodsMaintain a clean, organised, and efficient laboratory environment

The Ideal Candidate - Food Quality Analyst

Experience working within a food laboratory, quality control, or testing environmentHands-on experience using titrators/titration methods would be highly advantageousStrong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistencyGood understanding of laboratory safety and quality proceduresComfortable working with routine testing methods and structured processesExperience using LIMS softwareRelevant scientific qualification would be beneficial but not essential

You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing senior client relationships, leading complex tenders and negotiations, and ensuring a seamless transition from contract award through to mobilisation and operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities – Business Development Director

Position: CNC Machinist - Miller

Location: Gloucester

Type of roe: permanent

Working hours: 2 rotating weeks

Earlies: Mon-Thurs: 6:00am to 2:00pm & Fridays: 6:00am to 11:30am
Lates: Mon-Thurs: 2:00pm to 10:00pm & Fridays: 11:30am to 5:00pm

We are looking for CNC Miller to work for engineering manufacturing business based in Gloucester. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for machining precision parts for aerospace sector.

You will be working as part of a wider team to undertake a variety of CNC duties and produce a wide range of precision components for many industries including automotive (F1), aerospace, military & transport.

Responsibilities of CNC setter:

Set and operate Haas/Fanuc-controlled CNC machinesWorking from Technical DrawingsInstalling the correct programmes into the machinePrepare and load materials and componentsWorking to specific tolerances ensuring these are accurate for each operationInspect and measure finished components, recording results using in-process inspection sheetsFulfil daily responsibilities using our ERP system. (IFS)Reporting any issues to their Supervisor/Manager

Requirements of CNC setter

You must have experience of setting and operating CNC machines – routers and/or milling machinesCompleted relevant apprenticeship in engineering or a minimum of Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in the relevant field is desirableExperience producing precision milled components from a variety of materials, mainly composite, aluminium & plastics.Confident, independent operation of Fanuc/Haas controlled machinesAbility to complete ongoing quality documentation, maintaining communication with supervisors and quality operativesUnderstanding use of M and G codesUnderstand basic measurement principlesUnderstanding of basic quality & process principles

A competent electrical or mechanical engineering professional with technical experienceMust be able to solve problems, PLC / automation experience ideally produce safe systems of workShould be capable of contributing to the development, manufacture, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of products, equipment, process or serviceThis is an all-round hands-on maintenance electrical role ias well as conveyors and processingExtensive planned maintenance tasks and organisation of the engineering plant is also essential
