Job Title: Contract Maintenance Engineer - temporary contract, nights 3 months 

Location: Pontefract, Ferrybridge area A1 , M62, M18 access  

Pay Range: £40 - £42 per hour open to experience and expectations

Contract Type: Contract nights cover due to peak demand, 10pm-6am Sunday to thursday nights

We are recruiting for a fast-paced  manufacturer and logistics handler 

Attracting an Electrical bias / Mechanical competent multi-skilled  shift engineer

Key Responsibilities – Contract Maintenance Engineer - Nights

•  To service adjust and repair process and production materials handling  machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner

• To examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance, and plan of action for improvements

• Carry out Planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules

There is a potential of overtime and again flexibility will be required to support this when needed

Qualifications & Requirements –  Contract Maintenance Engineer   - Nights 

•Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or mechanical  engineering or similar manufacturing or automation 

•Or equivalent of any of the above in electrical or mechanical fields preferably with a manufacturing background

  • A competent electrical or mechanical engineering professional with technical experience
  • Must be able to solve problems, PLC / automation experience ideally produce safe systems of work
  • Should be capable of contributing to the development, manufacture, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of products, equipment, process or service
  • This is an all-round hands-on maintenance electrical role ias well as conveyors and processing
  • Extensive planned maintenance tasks and organisation of the engineering plant is also essential

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical and catering equipment in retail outlets, undertaking regular planned store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer.

Key Responsibilities – Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. Deliver reactive and planned catering and bakery equipment maintenanceConduct emergency lighting and fire alarm tests and repairs.Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sitesIdentify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

The Role - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to impressive project and programme developments, we are seeking to recruit Mechanical Design Engineers to support our client's engineering operations.

You'll need strong experience in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for rotating equipment in the aerospace sector. Demonstrable experience in the design of components such as gears, seals, rotors, transmissions or motors would be highly valuable.

Due to the complexity of the role candidates must be confident using Siemens NX design software.

 

Duties - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies.Create accurate technical drawings and 3D CAD models.Support product development activities through full product lifecycle.Apply GD&T and perform tolerance analysis.Participate in DFMEA and risk identification activities.Present design concepts, progress updates and design maturity at technical review gates.Support prototype build, testing and troubleshooting activities.Generate and maintain design documentation.Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities.

 

Background- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Minimum HNC/HND qualification.Strong experience designing rotating equipment.Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.Experience with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX Essential).Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter preferred).Aerospace experiencer preferred.
