Materials Manager required by leading manufacturing company, based in Gloucester. The successful Materials Manager will oversee materials management, internal recycling processes, procurement activities, and site logistics operations.

Main Duties: Materials Manager

Managing the collection, segregation, storage, and reprocessing of production waste materials.Planning and coordinating recycling operations, including shredding and pelletising waste materials for reuse in production.Overseeing materials handling, warehouse activities, product packing, and vehicle loading to support customer delivery requirements.Ensuring that all incoming goods and purchase order receipts are checked for quantity and specification compliance before stock allocation.Raising and expediting purchase orders for production materials and consumables.Monitoring supplier performance and negotiating prices to keep costs downWorking closely with production, planning, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth material flow and on-time delivery performance.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Materials Manager

A background within a similar material planning or supply chain role ideally gained within a manufacturing or engineering or equivalent environmentStrong inventory management and stock control experienceExcellent communication skills with the ability to lead and influence othersStrong IT skills with experience using stock control or ERP systems.Outstanding organisation and negotiation skills

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical and catering equipment in retail outlets, undertaking regular planned store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer.

Key Responsibilities – Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. Deliver reactive and planned catering and bakery equipment maintenanceConduct emergency lighting and fire alarm tests and repairs.Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sitesIdentify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

Qualifications & Experience – Mobile Maintenance Electrician

NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance. City and Guilds 18th Edition.AM2 / 2391

On Offer – Mobile Maintenance Electrician

£41,324.95 (Inclusive of Standby (1:4 x 13 Periods) & Competency Payment) + overtime + travel timeIncludes a £1,500 competency payment will be added to the basic salary upon completion of electrical fault training for catering and bakery equipment. The training, provided by the employer during the probation period, includes two one-week training blocks. 40 hour weekTravel time paid after half hour each wayOT paid at 1.5x Mon – Fri / 2x Sat-SunCompany pension scheme (matched up to 5%)Private healthcare (BUPA)Various employee discount schemes

The Role - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to impressive project and programme developments, we are seeking to recruit Mechanical Design Engineers to support our client's engineering operations.

You'll need strong experience in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for rotating equipment in the aerospace sector. Demonstrable experience in the design of components such as gears, seals, rotors, transmissions or motors would be highly valuable.

Due to the complexity of the role candidates must be confident using Siemens NX design software.

 

Duties - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies.Create accurate technical drawings and 3D CAD models.Support product development activities through full product lifecycle.Apply GD&T and perform tolerance analysis.Participate in DFMEA and risk identification activities.Present design concepts, progress updates and design maturity at technical review gates.Support prototype build, testing and troubleshooting activities.Generate and maintain design documentation.Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities.

 

Background- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Minimum HNC/HND qualification.Strong experience designing rotating equipment.Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.Experience with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX Essential).Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter preferred).Aerospace experiencer preferred.
