Due to their continued growth, they are looking to add a Maintenance Manager to their team, based in Westbury.Purpose of the role – Maintenance Manager
Develop a high-performing maintenance team with a culture of delivery and continuous improvement through effective leadership and management to deliver operational excellence.Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory legislation and the internal company Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental Standards.Drive improvements in plant availability and performance, including costs, through the implementation of company maintenance best practices across the whole site.Own, develop and evolve the engineering maintenance strategy.Develop and own annual maintenance budgets.Keep abreast of and apply where appropriate new condition monitoring technologies, maintenance improvement 'tools' and processes.Support the development of engineering staff by defining, and where necessary, providing training in activities that support maintenance improvement and coaching.
Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Manager
To deputise for the plant manager in their absence.Ensure implementation and delivery of maintenance procedures, initiatives and controls across all areas of responsibility.Management of the established site maintenance, planning and cost reporting systems to maximise their potential to the organisation.To assist the maintenance technician’s when required.To assist the plant manager in the running of the MBT plant in line with the project agreement.To compile, in conjunction with the plant manager, all risk assessments and safe systems of work for engineering and maintenance work, and to train the maintenance team in these systems.To ensure an appropriate engineering stock/spares is always maintained.Management of contractors.Define and implement KPI’s to monitor the performance of all maintenance employees, contractors, plant and equipment.To ensure all operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.Liaise between functions to ensure teamwork, consistency, co-ordination, and best practice to eliminate losses from poor practices or communication and to expedite learning.Ensure all engineering documentation, records and files are kept up to date as required.To comply with all safety and operational procedures relating to compliance with the Environment Agency Permit.To satisfactorily maintain other records and other information as required.To always maintain a clean and respectable appearance.To maintain high standards of behaviour, discipline, and safety always for the well-being of the Company and fellow employees.
