Job Title: Sample Reception Technician

Location: Manchester

Omega has an exciting opportunity to work with one of the UK’s leading water testing specialists, This role is initially offered on a temporary basis working Wednesday - Sunday 09:00-17:00 with weekends flexible. 

Key Responsibilities – Sample Reception Technician

  • Assigning accurate testing
  • Handling of all activities relating to sample reception and goods in including receiving deliveries and unpacking samples, shipping of parcels/post
  • Logging samples into LIMS and storage
  • Some lab-based work and administration tasks.
  • Assisting the team in maintaining an efficient workflow through the laboratory.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and hygiene in storage areas including sample disposal.
  • To liaise with Custmoer Service and clients regarding any sample queries
  • To despatch and document samples to subcontract labs in a timely manner avoiding deviations

Qualifications & Requirements – Sample Reception Technician

  • Accurate data entry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
  • To be able to work within set targets and goals and be able to manage expectations.
  • To be able to work well in a team, with an open, honest and approachable character.
  • To have a good eye for detail and understand the business processes.
  • To demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support other individuals in the team.

We are now seeking to recruit a Store person to work for a busy engineering warehouse based in Harshfield, Gloucestershire. The appropriate candidate would support warehouse team with goods in and out.

Responsibilities:

Picking customer orders, packing items securely, and labelling packages for shipping.

Organizing stock, placing items in correct locations.

Good in and goods out

Check for damaged or missing items

Store goods appropriately

Carry out stock counts as and when required

Keep paperwork up to date

Requirements:

Ability to work 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday

Previous stores/ warehouse experience

Counterbalance license is desirable

Ability to accurately complete paperwork and count stock items

An understanding of health and safety requirements
