Position: Machine Operator

Location: Cam, Gloucestershire

Pay rate: £16.21 per hour

Working hours: Earlies Monday to Thursday 06:00- 14:00 Friday 06:00- 13:00

                              Lates Monday to Thursday 14:00- 22:00, Friday 13:00- 20:00

                              Weekly rotation

A leading Textile Manufacturer based in Cam, Dursley, is looking for a Machine Operator to join their weaving department. The position is full time on double day shifts and after training the successful candidate will have the opportunity to join on a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will join the weaving department, operating high-speed machines and ensuring all products meet pre-determined specifications. You'll work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to high-quality textile production.

Key Responsibilities – Machine Operator

  • Operate and manage a variety of machines
  • Conduct quality control checks and maintain production standards
  • Log and report any issues with sub-standard products or machinery
  • Maintain an organised and tidy work environment
  • Adapt quickly to new tasks and ensure flexibility in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications & Requirements – Machine Operator

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Organised, proactive and able to work efficiently under time pressures

The appropriate candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the CNC milling and CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls to manufacture precision engineering products. The appropriate candidate would be trained on offline programming.

Responsibilities:

Setting and operating CNC machines with Fanuc controlsWorking on technical engineering drawingsWorking with aluminium and stainless steelAbility to use measuring toolsEnsuring excellent quality through the inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as gauges, verniers and micrometres.
