My client is looking for a skilled Production Technician to join their team, to effectively and efficiently carryout customer requests to a high standard. The successful candidate will ensure sub-assemblies are manufactured and installed correctly to specification and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Assembly operating hand tools
  • Set-up & alignment of machines
  • Operate machines and tools such as drilling machines, manual lathes and manual milling machines.
  • Batch work & one off’s
  • Timely completion of relevant paperwork

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previously experience in a mechanical engineering environment.
  • Previous production experience operating machinery and carrying out assembly tasks

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client, a well-established industrial manufacturing facility based in the Cheltenham area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a stable days-based position within a supportive working environment, offering strong earning potential and genuine technical development opportunities.

 

What you'll be doing:

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across heavy industrial manufacturing plant.Fault finding and repairing both small and large-scale mechanical systems.Stripping, servicing and rebuilding a variety of mechanical equipment and machinery.Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.Assisting with fabrication, fitting and installation projects.Working as part of the on-call rota, providing 24/7 engineering cover for two weeks in every eight.Maintaining high standards of safety, reliability and operational performance throughout the site.Supporting maintenance activities across steam, boiler and utility systems where required.

 

What we need from you:

Minimum of 5 years' post-apprenticeship maintenance experience.NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.Previous experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on mechanical systems and heavy industrial plant.Experience carrying out mechanical overhauls, rebuilds and servicing work.Fabrication and fitting experience.Electrical maintenance skills or fully multi-skilled capability would be highly advantageous.Industrial steam and boiler experience would be beneficial (BOAS qualification desirable but can be achieved on site).Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Supervisor to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role is responsible for effectively planning and leading HVAC teams to ensure all services are completed to the agreed standard and comply with all regulatory and company standards. This role is also responsible for overseeing all technical standards within the operation. You will be the technical expert and key account holder for FGas ensuring maintenance of our obligations to ensure our ongoing membership, in addition you will support and guide engineers through any training.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Supervisor

Ensure that all sites are covered for maintenance services, including Reactive and PPM.Provide technical support and coaching to Regional Site & Maintenance Technicians.Ensure under performance on KPI’s is understood and action plans are in place to drive improvement.Support the Divisional Account Manager on all technical, people and FM process issues.Provide cover for Divisional Account Manager during times of absence, holidays and meetings.Complete specified reports and compliance documentation and take action on any issues raisedAudit FM documentation and action on any non-compliance issues.Deal promptly with all Help Desk calls and ensure that the issues are resolved effectively, escalating where necessary to the appropriate management level.Regularly communicate with the customer on all FM activity.

Qualifications & Experience – Commercial Gas Supervisor

Educated to GCSE / Standard Grade level as a minimum, ideally NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.City and Guilds 2381 17th Edition Ability to maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. fans, pumps and compressorsA working knowledge of the maintenance service within the FM industry is essential, with previous working knowledge of a multi-client contracted environment being desirable; and PPM and compliance backgroundPrevious experience of effectively leading and managing a team is essentialPrevious experience of developing client relationships would be advantageousStrong PC literacy, with experience in extracting, collating and presenting performance data along with a good understanding of the CAFM.
