Contract Type: Permanent We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join a growing engineering business based in Cinderford.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead operational performance across manufacturing, field engineering, warehouse and logistics functions while helping to drive the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities - Operations Manager

Take ownership of day to day operations across workshop manufacturing field engineering warehouse logistics and operational administrationLead and develop managers and supervisors through clear accountability performance expectations and operational standardsCoordinate labour equipment materials and resources to meet customer requirements and delivery targetsImprove communication and collaboration between operational departmentsDrive operational improvements across productivity planning quality and delivery performanceOversee field engineering activities including scheduling utilisation performance and reportingEnsure site work materials and outstanding actions are effectively managed through to completionIdentify and eliminate operational bottlenecks waste rework and inefficienciesApply Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles to support business growthManage warehouse stock control logistics and material availability processesImprove stock accuracy and drive effective use of ERP MRP and warehouse management systemsCoach and develop managers supervisors and operational teamsSupport recruitment workforce planning succession planning and employee developmentMonitor operational KPIs including productivity labour utilisation delivery quality and stock performanceWork closely with senior leadership to improve operational efficiency profitability and customer satisfactionPromote a strong health and safety culture across all operational areasEnsure compliance with company procedures quality standards and relevant legislationSupport digitalisation automation and system improvements where operational benefits can be achieved

Qualifications & Requirements - Operations Manager

Previous senior operational leadership experience within engineering manufacturing industrial services or a similar environmentStrong people management experience with responsibility for managers and supervisorsProven track record of improving operational performance and business processesPractical understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologiesExperience using ERP MRP or similar operational systemsStrong commercial awareness with experience managing productivity labour utilisation and operational costsGood understanding of health and safety within engineering or manufacturing environmentsExperience leading change and improving team performance within a growing businessStrong communication leadership and problem solving skillsAbility to manage multiple operational functions and priorities simultaneously

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Mobile Pest Control Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

You will provide complete pest control services (including proofing) to control all pest species covered under contract and, by thorough inspection, identify any environmental conditions conducive to any pest activity whether covered by the contract or not. This requires visiting stores, supermarkets, depots and living sites.
