Role and Responsibilities – Sales & Customer Support Admin (Part Time)
This role is varied between sales support, customer service, general admin and office duties. This person will make sure all queries are responded to professionally and within the on time delivery schedule.

Other responsibilities include:

Respond to telephone and email enquiries.Maintain product descriptions, pricing and technical informationMaintain customer records within the CRM systemBuild relationships with existing and new customers.

Experience or Qualifications – Sales & Customer Support Admin (Part Time)

Position: Warehouse Operative

Type of role: permanent

Salary: £28,500 – 30,000

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and early finish on Friday at 1:00 pm

We are now seeking to recruit Warehouse Operator to assist with packing and moving company bespokesystems and equipment from completion of testing through to packing and dispatch.

The role includes packing cryogenic systems, transfer lines, cables and associated equipment, preparing and organising test bays, and arranging UK and international shipments.

Main Responsibilities

Move completed systems from the Test Lab to the packing area.Check all equipment against the packing list before packing.Pack cryogenic systems safely and securely into shipping crates.Pack, protect and clearly label transfer lines, cables, valves and other equipment.Take photographs of systems and equipment before and during packing.Assist Test Engineers with setting up and clearing test bays.Prepare equipment, cables, hoses and other items required for testing.Keep the packing and test areas clean and organised.Arrange collections with couriers and freight companies.Prepare packing lists and shipping paperwork.Prepare customs documentation for international shipments.Record shipment weights, dimensions and contents accurately.Load crates and equipment safely onto collection vehicles.Operate the forklift for moving and loading equipment.

Essential Requirements

Forklift licence – essential.Previous experience in packing, logistics, manufacturing or an engineering environment.Good practical skills.Good attention to detail.Able to follow instructions and packing documentation accurately.Comfortable using computers and completing basic paperwork.Able to work independently and take responsibility for completing shipments correctly.Physically capable of handling packing and material-moving activities.

Desirable

Experience packing large, fragile or high-value equipment.Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing company.Experience arranging freight or international shipments.Experience preparing customs and export documentation.

Reporting to the QHSE Manager and working closely with the Product Quality Manager, this highly visible role is responsible for driving quality excellence across both internal assembly operations and the external supply chain. The successful candidate will provide hands-on support to production, lead quality improvement activities, develop robust manufacturing controls, and manage supplier quality performance. Key Responsibilities – Quality Engineer:

Provide daily hands-on quality support to the assembly facility, ensuring quality issues are identified, contained, escalated, and resolved effectively.Act as the primary quality contact for production, supporting rapid issue resolution and maintaining manufacturing flow.Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, RCA, DMAIC, and 5 Why analysis.Implement and verify corrective and preventative actions to deliver sustainable quality improvements.Perform product inspections and measurement activities to validate conformity against drawings and specifications.

Quality Systems & Process Control:

 

Develop, implement, and maintain process controls including PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA activities.Support and lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for new products and engineering changes.Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects to ensure quality requirements are achieved during launch and sustained in production.Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and the company Integrated Management System.Contribute to internal audit programmes and support external audits when required.

Supplier Quality & Continuous Improvement:

Qualify, approve, and develop suppliers through audits, capability assessments, and risk evaluations.Manage supplier non-conformances, ensuring effective containment, investigation, and implementation of corrective actions.Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews, driving improvements in quality, delivery, and overall supplier performance.Work collaboratively with suppliers to reduce variation, scrap, rework, and cost of poor quality.Monitor supplier quality metrics including PPM and COPQ and support supplier improvement programmes.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Support:

Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to improve product and process quality.Support customer-specific quality requirements and provide technical guidance to internal teams and suppliers.Provide regular reporting on quality performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.Travel within the UK as required to support supplier and business quality activities.

Qualifications & Requirements – Quality Engineer:

Extensive experience within a lean manufacturing environment, including supplier quality management.HNC or equivalent qualification in Engineering.Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and ideally IATF 16949 quality management systems.Experience managing PPAP processes and supplier approval activities.Proven experience using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, RCA, and DMAIC.Strong technical understanding of engineering drawings, geometric tolerancing, and measurement techniques.Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).Qualified Lead Auditor with experience conducting supplier, process, and product audits.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Able to work independently, prioritise workload effectively, and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a skilled, practical technician to manufacture and assemble high-quality cryogenic products, including transfer lines, LN₂ traps, vacuum-insulated components and associated assemblies.

This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on precision welding, soldering, brazing, and mechanical assembly. The successful candidate will produce neat, accurate and carefully to engineering drawings and defined quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble bespoke cryogenic systems from engineering drawings and build information.Fit pipework, valves, vacuum components, flanges and mechanical assemblies.Perform vacuum and helium leak testing of components and assemblies.Prepare, clean and handle components for high and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) applications.Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout assembly and prevent contamination of vacuum-critical components.Complete mechanical fitting, drilling, tapping and general assembly work.Occasionally operate manual mills and lathes for simple machining and modification work.Follow route cards, drawings, Standard Work Instructions and manufacturing instructions.Complete and record required checks during assembly.Identify, investigate and resolve build problems, escalating issues where required.Carry out rework and modifications when required.

Essential Skills and Experience

Previous mechanical assembly, engineering or manufacturing experience.Strong practical and mechanical skills.Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify practical solutions to build issues.Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.Ability to work to strict cleanliness standards.Experience using hand tools and workshop equipment.Ability to follow documented processes and instructions.
