Overview

We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join a busy and forward-thinking manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for setting and running moulding production orders, ensuring consistent high-quality output. You'll play a key role in achieving Right First Time and Just in Time manufacturing, working with advanced moulding techniques and standardised processes.

 Key Responsibilities

Set and condition injection mould tools to meet production requirementsRun production orders using pre-set programmes, monitoring output quality throughout the shiftRespond to machine alarms and faults, implementing permanent corrective actionsCarry out routine maintenance and fault finding on injection moulding machines and toolingControl and optimise processing parameters in line with product standards and cost requirementsMaintain accurate records of maintenance, production, and quality checksSupport supervision of shift staff when required in the absence of a SupervisorPrepare auxiliary equipment, jigs, fixtures, and assembly machinesPerform quality checks in line with company standards and identify defectsCarry out first-line troubleshooting of process and quality issuesEnsure safe handling and accurate movement of materials and stockSupport tooling trials, processing, and optimisation for new projectsParticipate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience within and Injection Moulding environmentGood knowledge of modern injection moulding machinery, robotics, tooling, finishing equipment, printing, assemblingMinimum 3 years' experience as an Injection Moulding TechnicianStrong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capability Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capabilityExperience with injection moulding machines, tooling, and process optimisation

Location: Tamworth

Salary: £43,000

Day Shift: Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm

Overview

Process Technician is a hands-on technical professional responsible for monitoring, operating, troubleshooting and improving manufacturing/production processes to ensure efficiency, safety and product quality.

 Key Responsibilities

New tool installationsCommissioning of equipmentTest and develop new and existing mouldsAncillary equipment set up and optimizationDeveloping and training processing standard parametersImproving process performance by achieving and maintaining optimum production efficiencies.Quality / SPC set up and process monitoringStandard Processing conditionsTo act as a Trial Champion in relation to Mould, Process, Product, Material, Additive & EquipmentTo work with setting department to ensure Installation & start-up of moulds in accordance with all good practices and to hand to production in optimum performance status.Carrying out all qualification requirements for each productDeliver hard copies of processing, set up, tooling, service, robot set

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 3 years' experience within and Injection Moulding environmentGood knowledge of modern injection moulding machinery, robotics, tooling, finishing equipment, printing, assemblingGood knowledge of different plastic materialsGood knowledge of modern automation equipmentIdeally served a recognised Engineering or Processing apprenticeship or Injection moulding qualification equivalent to IMT 3 or above.

Injection Moulding Setter (Day Shift)

Shift: Monday-Friday

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join our team on a day shift. This is a fast-paced environment producing medium batch runs with frequent tool changes, so you'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

 

What You'll Be Doing

Setting and changing over injection moulding machines and toolingManaging frequent tool changes efficiently to support medium production runsOptimising processes to improve cycle times, reduce scrap, and maximise outputMonitoring production to ensure quality and performance targets are metTroubleshooting issues quickly to minimise downtimeSupporting continuous improvement across the shop floor

 

What We're Looking For
