The Role - Deburrer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deburrer to join a prominent aerospace manufacturing business.

You’ll be finishing machined components via deburring processes, ensuring products are ready for assembly of flight critical equipment.

This role is working on a rotating AM/PM shift pattern following training period on day shift.

Profile – Software Engineer

Job Role – Software Engineer

The Software Engineer shall create software that will interact with instrumentation, data acquisition equipment, electronic hardware, communications interfaces, units under test and other engineering systems. The software is used to control test sequences, acquire and process data, simulate interfaces, guide operators, diagnose faults and produce traceable evidence that a customer’s product meets its requirements.
Duties – Software Engineer

• Analyse system and software requirements and translate them into robust, practical software solutions.
• Contribute to software architecture, detailed design and technology-selection decisions.
• Develop software for automated and manual test, measurement, simulation and control systems.
• Produce clear, maintainable and appropriately documented code.
• Develop automated test sequences, operator interfaces, instrument drivers, data-processing functions, diagnostic tools and test reports
• Participate in the complete software and system-development lifecycle; requirements capture concept development, software architecture, implementation, software integration etc.
• Define and perform software unit, integration and system testing.
• Produce test specifications, procedures, results and compliance evidence

Experience/Qualifications – Software Engineer

• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent practical experience in software engineering, compute science engineering, electronic engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience developing software for engineering, industrial, scientific or equipment-based applications.
• Practical experience in at least one relevant programming language or development environment; C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, TestStand, Python
• Experience debugging and testing software in a practical engineering environment.
• Familiarity with source-control systems and configuration-management practices

The System Engineer shall will work with customers to understand test requirements and how the resulting system will be operated, maintained and accepted. Translate those requirements into clear system requirements, architectures, interfaces and verification strategies that can be implemented by our hardware, software, mechanical and production teams.

This is a broad, practical and customer-facing role. It requires someone who can move comfortably between requirements workshops, system design, technical reviews, laboratory integration, acceptance testing and commissioning

• Plan and lead requirements-capture meetings and technical workshops.

• Define functional and physical system architectures.
• Break down system requirements into appropriate hardware, software, mechanical and operational elements.
• Define and document internal and external interfaces.
• Ensure that the project progresses through the appropriate technical gates and design reviews.
• Prepare for and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews, critical design reviews and test-readiness reviews.
• Define the evidence required to demonstrate design maturity at each lifecycle stage.
• Develop the system verification and validation strategy.
• Define appropriate verification methods, including analysis, inspection, demonstration and test.

Experience/Qualifications – Systems Engineer

• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent practical experience in electronic engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience of developing electrical or electronic equipment through the engineering lifecycle
