The Role - Facilities Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Facilities Leader to join a rapidly scaling Aerospace engineering business in Gloucestershire as Facilities Manager.

You will be responsible for multi-site buildings, infrastructure, and the day-to-day running of these sites, all conveniently located within easy geographical reach of each other.

You'll need to be comfortable working in an evolving and growing business, with facilities development being a core component of that growth.

 

Duties - Facilities Manager

  • Planning and delivering customer fit-outs, machine installations, and site layouts.
  • Scope Project facilities out, appoint and manage contractors to undertake any work.
  • Control budgets and timelines for both project facilities and core facilities.
  • Building and running the planned preventative maintenance
  • Selecting, inducting and managing the contractors who work on sites
  • Negotiating facilities contracts across all areas.
  • Reporting clear facilities KPIs to the management team.

 

Background - Facilities Manager

  • Proven facilities management experience within manufacturing environments.
  • A track record of delivering on new facilities and their development.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of utilities, HVAC, compressed air, electrical and mechanical plants.
  • Experience managing facilities budgets and service contracts.
  • Confidence selecting and managing contractors and holding them to contractual terms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work across multiple sites (all within 45 mins of Gloucestershire)

The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in Distribution sites in Enfield

You will be the first line in all maintenance issues throughout your allocated site. You may be required to request specialist attendance following initial call out.

The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPM’s. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.  

Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Technician

NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.  City and Guilds 2382 18th editionAM2/23913 phase electrics and its applications   Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers and microwaves
