The Role - Programme Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a buoyant employer in the Gloucestershire areas in a non-technical Programme Management opportunity.

You'll be working in the aerospace sector to delivery projects on time and within budget for some major customers, ensuring the customer experience is centric to all activities.

You'll ideally be an outstanding communicator with a background supporting manufacturing operations within a matrix structure organisation.

 

Duties - Programme Manager

Lead programmes and the associated P&L assigned to them.Internal and external stakeholder managementLead cross-functional project teams to delivery projects successfully.Manage product changes required for obsolescence resolution, reliability improvement, cost reduction or in response to customer requestContinuous improvement of assigned business processesManage multiple projects simultaneouslyRun project reviews, ensuring robust project, financial and commercial governance.Deliver bid and proposals for new programmes.Occasional travel internationally to customer sites (up to 10%)

Educated to Degree level in relevant subject.Hold project Management qualifications.Proven experience working in a matrixed manufacturing organization.Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills.Able to manage project scope, resources, cost, schedule and risk.Strong negotiation skillsProblem solving capability.

This role will take ownership of the cost and schedule performance of complex programmes, using Earned Value Management (EVMS) to provide clear insight into delivery, risks, and forecast outcomes.
