Job Role – Manufacturing Technician

Reporting to the management team the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing technical duties in one of the functional areas: electronic, mechanical or systems.

Duties – Manufacturing Technician

Employ test techniques and procedures for key cell projects.Use job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travellers and bills of material.Maintain production tools and equipment.Perform troubleshooting to diagnose product, process or program defects and repair them.Ensure ability to: read blueprints; identify components; perform wire preparation, stripping and crimping; perform harness repair and termination; use pertinent manual hand tools.

Experience/Qualifications – Manufacturing Technician

Experience in engineering/manufacturing environmentAbility to read an interpret engineering diagrams/schematics

Candidates who are currently a Wire Person, Technician, Assembler, Mechanical Fitter, Electronic Fitter, Electrical Technician, Operative and Manufacturing Engineer could be suitable for this role.

Salary: £40,000

Location: Leighton Buzzard

Working Hours: 6am – 2pm

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join a busy and forward-thinking manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for setting and running moulding production orders, ensuring consistent high-quality output. You'll play a key role in achieving Right First Time and Just in Time manufacturing, working with advanced moulding techniques and standardised processes.

Key Responsibilities

Set and condition injection mould tools to meet production requirementsRun production orders using pre-set programmes, monitoring output quality throughout the shiftRespond to machine alarms and faults, implementing permanent corrective actionsCarry out routine maintenance and fault finding on injection moulding machines and toolingControl and optimise processing parameters in line with product standards and cost requirementsMaintain accurate records of maintenance, production, and quality checksSupport supervision of shift staff when required in the absence of a SupervisorPerform quality checks in line with company standards and identify defectsEnsure safe handling and accurate movement of materials and stockSupport tooling trials, processing, and optimisation for new projectsOperate forklift truck when licensedParticipate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 3 years' experience as an Injection Moulding TechnicianExperience with injection moulding machines, tooling, and process optimisationFamiliarity with production or ERP systemsStrong problem-solving skills with an innovative mindsetGood communication and decision-making abilityHigh attention to detailContinuous improvement mindset with knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles

About the Company

Responsibilities - Accounts Payable Administrator

Processing and managing a high volume of invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.Investigating and resolving supplier queries relating to invoices, payments, and account discrepancies.Working closely with multiple UK sites to ensure invoice approvals and payment processes are completed within agreed timescales.Maintaining accurate supplier records and account information.Reconciling supplier statements and resolving outstanding issues.Liaising with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers via phone and email.Supporting month-end activities and assisting the wider finance team where required.Ensuring all accounts payable processes comply with company policies and procedures.
