Responsibilities - Materials Planner

Create and maintain detailed production schedules to maximise resources and meet production specifications and delivery deadlines.Release manufacturing work orders and execute daily plant-level MRP activities to support production requirements.Monitor schedule adherence, investigate deviations, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.Maintain inventory planning parameters within ERP systems and collaborate with procurement teams to enhance supplier performance.Coordinate inbound material planning, supplier call-offs, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders to support operational demands.Analyse excess, obsolete, and ageing inventory, driving actions to improve stock management and inventory performance.Produce planning and fulfilment analysis, reporting key performance metrics to stakeholders and management.Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning, inventory, and supply chain processes.

Qualifications / Experience - Materials Planner

Strong knowledge of manufacturing planning, production scheduling, inventory control, MRP, capacity planning, shop floor control, and warehousing.Previous experience using ERP and MRP systems within a manufacturing or distribution environment.Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.Experience identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing successful solutions.Good IT skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Previous experience in a materials planning, production planning, supply chain, or scheduling role is highly desirable.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Electrician?to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.
The role will involve maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical and catering equipment in retail outlets, undertaking regular planned store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer.
Key Responsibilities – Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. Deliver reactive and planned catering and bakery equipment maintenanceConduct emergency lighting and fire alarm tests and repairs.Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sitesIdentify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several retail stores, maintaining, and repairing a range of commercial heating systems and air conditioning units. Additionally, you will undertake regular planned store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Engineer

Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across a number of sites. Service and repair a range of mechanical equipment, e.g. boilers, fans, pumps, AHU's, FCU's.Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications.Order spares to the laid-down procedures.Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the HVAC supervisor of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

Qualifications & Experience – Commercial Gas Engineer

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Maintenance &Facilities with a strong electrical engineering background to lead all maintenance, engineering, and facilities activities across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all buildings, infrastructure, electrical systems, plant, and equipment. They will provide strategic leadership to maintenance teams, manage contractors and budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support business performance and growth.

This leadership role requires a strong technical understanding of electrical systems, building services, regulatory compliance, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

Lead and develop maintenance and facilities teams across multiple sites.Create a culture of safety, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.Set performance objectives and monitor team effectiveness.Provide technical guidance and support to site managers and engineers.

Maintenance & Engineering

Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximise asset reliability and minimise downtime.Oversee all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.Ensure all plant, equipment, electrical infrastructure, and building services are maintained to the highest standards.Lead root cause investigations and corrective action plans following equipment failures.

Facilities Management

Ensure all company facilities are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and fit for purpose.Manage building fabric, HVAC systems, security systems, utilities, and general site services.Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance.Develop long-term asset replacement and investment plans.

Compliance, Health & Safety

Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and company requirements.Lead health and safety initiatives across maintenance and facilities operations.Manage risk assessments, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.Ensure contractor compliance and permit-to-work procedures are effectively implemented.Maintain all maintenance and compliance records.

Contractor & Supplier Management

Manage external contractors, service providers, and specialist engineers.Negotiate service agreements and support procurement activities.Monitor service delivery and contractor performance against agreed KPIs.Ensure value for money and high-quality service delivery.

 Experience

Extensive experience in a senior maintenance, engineering, or facilities management role.Proven experience managing maintenance and facilities operations across multiple sites.Strong electrical engineering background (Desired) gained within industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or similar environments.Experience managing teams, contractors, and outsourced service providers.Experience managing budgets and capital projects.

Desired Qualifications (But not essential)

HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and statutory compliance. IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Certificate.
