Role Overview – CNC Machining Tutor

Our client, a well-established independent training provider based in Gloucester, is seeking an experienced CNC Machining Tutor to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to utilise their industry expertise in a rewarding training environment. Working with learners aged 16+ and apprentices at various stages of their development, you will play a key role in equipping the next generation of engineers with the practical skills, knowledge and confidence required to succeed within the manufacturing sector.

The successful candidate will possess strong conventional machining experience alongside the ability to independently programme, set and operate CNC machinery.

Key Responsibilities – CNC Machining Tutor

  • Deliver high-quality practical instruction to engineering learners and apprentices.
  • Train and support learners in the operation of manual lathes, milling machines and CNC machines.
  • Teach CNC programming, setting and operating techniques in line with current industry standards.
  • Demonstrate best practice in machining processes, tooling, engineering drawings and workshop safety.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback and technical guidance.
  • Encourage learner engagement and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Maintain workshop equipment and resources to ensure a safe and effective training facility.
  • Support learners in achieving their qualifications and progressing into successful engineering careers.
  • Ensure all training activities comply with health and safety regulations.

Key Experience & Requirements – CNC Machining Tutor

  • Strong background within engineering machining and manufacturing.
  • Fully trained and proficient in operating manual lathes and milling machines.
  • Proven ability to programme, set and operate CNC machines independently.
  • CNC competency to a minimum Level 3 standard.
  • Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, materials and machining processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for developing and mentoring future engineering professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively within a workshop-based educational environment.
  • Previous teaching, training, mentoring or coaching experience.
  • Assessing or teaching qualifications.
  • Experience working with apprentices or young learners.

The Storekeeper is responsible to execute product and material handling and movement within the warehouse in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards. They inspect and accept incoming shipments against supplier packing lists, ensuring items have been received in a satisfactory state.

Duties – Materials Handler

• Perform inspecting, labelling, receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing, disposal and cycle counting of inventory items.
• Accept supplier deliveries, checking that actual item received are in suitable condition and match the packing list and/or purchase order and report discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure outgoing inventory items are suitably packed and issued with correct and complete documentation.
• Improve efficiency and safety by optimizing warehouse bin locations.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
Perform inventory cycle counting and support periodic physical counts.
• Perform tasks associated with Kitting and Kanban point-of-use replenishment and other materials management initiatives as directed by the Supervisor.
• Investigate and resolve local inventory and warehouse issues as requested by the Supervisor.
Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
• Operate a forklift or other materials handling equipment upon completion of training and certification.

• Experience working in store environment
• Experience of MRP Systems

Material Planner required by Industry leading engineering company to support an increase in demand. The successful Material Planner will play a key role in ensuring materials are available to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments. Working closely with Supply Chain, Production, and Programme teams, you will help maintain efficient material flow throughout the business. The contract is anticipated to be 6 months.

Main Duties: Material Planner

Managing material requirements in line with production plans and business objectives.Monitoring and resolving material shortages to minimise disruption to operations.Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure material availability.Investigating and resolving supply chain and inventory issues through root cause analysis.Supporting bulk material management and end-of-life stock activities.Monitoring inventory levels and recommending appropriate stock and safety stock holdings.Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across material planning processes.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Material planner
