Our client, a successful and expanding manufacturer based in Lancashire, is looking to recruit an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to support their production operation.

You will be responsible for setting and optimising injection moulding machinery, carrying out tool changes, and ensuring production processes run smoothly to meet both customer expectations and operational targets.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within injection moulding, a solid understanding of processing techniques, and a proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities - Injection Moulding Setter

Set and prepare injection moulding machines in line with production plans and operational requirements.Conduct mould/tool changes efficiently using best practice techniques and ensure machines are correctly configured.Carry out first-off approvals and quality inspections prior to production runs.Fine-tune machine settings to achieve optimum cycle times, product quality, and production efficiency.Investigate and resolve processing issues to minimise downtime and reduce waste.Accurately complete production records, machine documentation, and shift reports.Liaise with production operators, quality teams, and supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.Support and contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing productivity and performance.Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.Adhere to all company health & safety procedures and quality standards.Ensure compliance with manufacturing processes and operating procedures at all times.

Key Experience & Requirements - Injection Moulding Setter

Proven experience working as an Injection Moulding Setter within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes, machine setup, and process optimisation.Understanding of polymer materials and their processing characteristics.Effective fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to solve technical problems.Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Experience carrying out mould changes and improving manufacturing performance.Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a production environment.Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a wider team.Strong communication skills and attention to detail.Full UK driving licence desirable.

Proven experience working as an Injection Moulding Setter within a manufacturing environment.Formal qualifications in Injection Moulding Setting and Processing.Experience using cranes, lifting and slinging equipment, and powered pallet trucks (PPT).Strong understanding of injection moulding processes and machine optimisation.Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Flexible and proactive approach to work.IMT qualification is desirable.Experience supporting continuous improvement activities within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
