My client, a leading force within aerospace manufacturing are on the hunt for a Lead Systems Engineer to join the team in the Cheltenham Office!

 

Role and Responsibilities – Lead Engineer

In this brand-new role for an ever-growing business, you will be responsible for leading the definition, development, integration and certification of advanced hydro & electro-mechanical actuation and control systems across the full systems-engineering lifecycle.

Other responsibilities include:

 

Lead and influence supplier engineering teams; review and approve supplier analyses, design outputs, qualification evidence, and change proposals.Own the creation and control of system architectures, functional models, and interface definitions across mechanical, software, and electronicsOwn the system integration strategy, ensuring elements integrate with accuracy and controlled interfaces.Champion continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and tools.

 

Experience or Qualifications – Lead Engineer

Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical/Mechatronics, or Systems EngineeringExtensive engineering experience with aerospace actuation systems or high-integrity systems.Proven experience leading supplier technical activities.Experience with modelling/simulation tools and MBSE/SysML (Desirable)

 

Candidate must be a UK National, capable of obtaining BPSS or SC clearance due to projects of work being carried out in this role!

Role: Electro-Mechanical Technician

Location: Cheltenham

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000

Monday to Friday - 8am – 4.30pm (early Friday finish)

Are you an electrically biased Electro-Mechanical Engineer looking for a varied, hands-on role where you'll be involved in everything from machine build and electrical assembly through to commissioning and customer installation?

The Role

Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you'll be responsible for the electrical assembly, wiring, testing and commissioning of bespoke machinery, whilst also supporting the mechanical build and final assembly where required.

The role is predominantly electrically focused, making it ideal for an engineer with a strong electrical background who also enjoys the practical aspects of machine assembly and commissioning.

In addition to workshop-based duties, you'll occasionally travel to customer sites across the UK (and occasionally overseas) to install, commission and service machinery, providing first-class technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Assembly & Wiring

Build and wire electrical control panels and operator consoles.Wire bespoke machinery from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.Install motors, drives, sensors, relays, switches and associated control equipment.Ensure all electrical work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Machine Build & Testing

Support the mechanical assembly and final build of bespoke machinery.Work from engineering drawings, assembly instructions and technical documentation.Carry out electrical testing, fault-finding and machine calibration.Diagnose and resolve electrical and electro-mechanical faults throughout the build process.

Commissioning & Customer Support

Commission machinery within the workshop prior to customer acceptance.Install and commission equipment at customer sites.Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs.Provide professional technical support while building strong customer relationships.

Essential Skills & Experience

Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).Experience working within machinery build, automation, special purpose machinery or industrial manufacturing environments.Strong understanding of industrial electrical control systems.Excellent electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings and technical documentation.Basic mechanical assembly experience.Good IT skills for completing service reports and documentation.Full UK Driving Licence.Willingness to travel throughout the UK with occasional overseas travel.

We are seeking a self-motivated Applications / Process Engineer with an engineering background. Previous honing experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Applications Department, which plays an integral role in delivering honing solutions and technical support to our customers worldwide.

The successful candidate will need to be technically minded, confident and professional, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, distributors, agents, sales and engineering teams.

The Role

Carry out honing process development, demonstrations and development tests as required on the full range of Delapena Honing machines at Delapena and at customers:

Ensuring Hone Trial Request forms are filled in for every application. (where applicable).Updating of Applications Priority list.Communicating with Customers and Sales team to give progress updates.Completion of Hone test reports.Compiling Case study forms. Assisting Sales and Engineering departments with Feasibility reviews.Assistance with creation of Training Manuals.Training customers to Operate and Set Delapena Honing machines. (Domestic and International)Site visits to Customers premises for Training / Commissioning or Problem resolutions. Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Southampton (South Coast)

£43,189.50 (salary including on call standby 1:4 + £1,500 competency payment) + 5% SLA

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment in retail outlets, undertaking regular planned store visits to complete reactive, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer (including non-electrical).

Key Responsibilities – Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. Deliver reactive and planned catering and bakery equipment maintenanceConduct emergency lighting and fire alarm tests and repairs.Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sitesIdentify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
