The Opportunity – Site HSE lead

A market-leading FMCG manufacturer is seeking a highly visible and influential Site HSE Manager to help shape the next chapter of its already impressive safety culture.

The Role – Site HSE lead

Reporting to the Regional HSE Category Manager, you will act as the site's Health, Safety & Environmental subject matter expert while partnering closely with the Site Leadership Team, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement functions.This role is about leadership and influence just as much as technical capability.You'll be a visible presence across the manufacturing operation, helping operational leaders take ownership of SHE performance while supporting key business objectives around safety, efficiency, quality, reliability and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities – Site HSE lead

Lead the site's HSE strategy and continue the journey towards world-class performanceCoach and influence senior operational leaders to strengthen safety ownershipDevelop trusted relationships across manufacturing, engineering, technical and supply chain teamsDrive behavioural safety initiatives and workforce engagement programmesAct as a critical friend to the leadership team, providing pragmatic risk-based guidanceLead investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action programmesAnalyse SHE performance data, trends and leading indicators to identify improvement opportunitiesSupport and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systemsConduct audits, inspections and assurance activities across the operationDrive contractor management and high-risk activity controlsSupport environmental improvement initiatives and sustainability objectivesChampion a culture where safety is embedded within operational decision making rather than owned solely by the HSE department

You may currently be working as a Site HSE Manager, SHE Manage, Health & Safety Manager, HSE Business Partner, Regional HSE Advisor, Safety Business Partner, EHS Manager, Environmental Health & Safety Lead, Senior HSE Advisor

Most importantly, you'll be someone who can build trust, influence behaviours and drive cultural change across a large operational workforce.
