Role Overview – Supplier Quality Engineer

Are you an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer looking to take a leading role in strengthening supply chain performance within a highly regulated engineering environment? This is an excellent opportunity to join a global aerospace manufacturer as they continue to enhance supplier capability, ensure compliance, and drive world‑class standards across their supply base.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will act as a key technical interface between suppliers, internal teams, and customers—ensuring that supplied materials, components and processes meet stringent aerospace requirements. You’ll lead supplier audits, drive Zero Defect initiatives, support APQP activity, and ensure robust corrective action across the supply chain.

This is an on‑site role based in Coventry, involving regular collaboration with suppliers, engineering, quality and procurement teams, as well as periodic travel within the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities – Supplier Quality Engineer Providing quality support to the supply chain and internal value streamsLeading supplier performance improvement initiatives and supplier‑related continuous improvementPlanning and conducting supplier audits in line with AS9100 and internal requirementsSupporting the deployment of the Zero Defect programme across key suppliers to reduce DPPMEnsuring prompt containment, root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5‑Why, Cause & EffectReviewing and approving supplier FAIRs to AS9102 requirementsWorking with suppliers to ensure compliance to AS9100, Part 21 and customer‑specific regulationsAnalysing non‑conformance and quality data to recommend improvementsSupporting source transfer activities and supplier development programmesCollaborating closely with procurement, engineering and operations to resolve supply chain issuesSupporting APQP processes including PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans and PPAPEnsuring documentation, records and compliance evidence are accurate, complete and audit‑ready Key Experience & Qualifications – Supplier Quality Engineer Experience in aerospace or another highly regulated engineering/manufacturing sectorStrong working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO9001 and aerospace supplier quality requirementsExperience conducting supplier audits and driving supplier developmentProficiency in APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA and root cause analysis toolsUnderstanding of Part 21 Subpart G and (ideally) Part 145 requirementsAbility to interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsStrong communication skills with the confidence to influence and challenge suppliersHands‑on, proactive approach with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilityExperience with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systemsEngineering or technical qualification, or equivalent industry experience Benefits – Supplier Quality Engineer Outstanding Pension Contribution PlanCompany Bonus SchemeIncome protection and life assurance (3× basic salary)Share purchase programmeEarly finish on FridaysFlexible working hours25 days annual leave plus public holidaysEmployee Assistance Programme for health and well‑beingStructured career development and training opportunitiesEmployee discounts on a wide range of products and servicesEmployee referral programme

Pay Range/details: £46,791.53 per annum (incl.13 standby payments)

Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in their search for a Refrigeration Engineer work on a major UK supermarket contract. The right Refrigeration Engineer will be the first line in all service and maintenance throughout  allocated sites. They will also effectively maintain service and repair Refrigeration Equipment in customer locations and aid HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits.

 

Key Responsibilities -  Refrigeration Engineer

Carry out reactive and planned refrigeration maintenance within agreed timescales.Diagnose faults, identify non-repairable issues and recommend replacements.Complete all PPM, technical and compliance paperwork accurately and on time.Order and fit parts in line with company procedures.Respond promptly to Helpdesk service calls and complete repairs efficiently.Communicate issues affecting store operations to GSMs and build strong working relationships.Complete surveys, reports and job documentation as required.Participate in the out-of-hours standby rota and arrange cover when needed.Working with CO? refrigeration pack systems.Planned on-call rota 1 in 4 weeks  (hours of work paid in addition to standby payment) 

 

Qualifications & Requirements -  Refrigeration Engineer

Time-served apprenticeship with NVQ/C&G refrigeration qualification.C&G 2079 / CITB refrigerant handling certificate / F Gas Category 1Strong refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic skills.Ability to read technical drawings and apply relevant H&S legislation.Good communication and customer-facing skills.Self-motivated, professional and able to work at heights using access equipment.Full UK driving licence essential.
