Job Title: CNC Machinist - Sliding Head Lathe

Location: Tewkesbury

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £36,900 + 36.67% Uplift (£50,400)

Shift Pattern: Night Shift (Permanent - post training)

  • Monday & Tuesday: 8:45pm - 6:15am
  • Wednesday: 9:00pm - 6:15am
  • Thursday: 9:15pm - 6:30am

 

The Role - CNC Machinist - Sliding Head Lathe

Join our leading aerospace client's team in Tewkesbury and contribute to cutting-edge Aerospace engineering projects.

As a Sliding Head CNC Machinist, you'll play a key role in machining complex components for advanced aircraft systems, using STAR sliding head machines.

This is a permanent Night shift position following a period of training on days/AM shift

 

Duties - CNC Machinist - Sliding Head Lathe

  • Set up, operate, and manage Star Sliding Head Lathes
  • Conduct first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks
  • Machine components to extremely tight tolerances.
  • Select and optimize tooling and machining parameters
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, adjusting programs or set-ups to maintain production quality and flow.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

 

Background - CNC Machinist - Sliding Head Lathe

  • Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (HNC / Level 3)
  • CNC machining experience on Sliding head lathes.
  • In-depth knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and inspection methods.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client based in Sheffiled. This is a hands-on Electrical Engineer position working a rotating shift pattern by providing engineering support to achieve high levels of plant availability and performance across the Meadowhall, River Don and Provincial Park sites.

Key Responsibilities - Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Qualifications & Requirements - Electrical Maintenance Engineer 

Good academic qualifications i.e. HNC / ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Apprentice trained - 17th Edition Trained (Minimum) with 18th Edition Training advantageous Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an Engineering or Maintenance function Strong PLC knowledge and fault-finding skills Experience in a hot working environment such as steel forging rolling or foundry would be advantageous HV Switching qualification and authorisation would be advantageous Team working skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Logical analytical approach with a can-do self-motivated attitude Flexible with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Technician?to join the team.

The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in Distribution sites across Castle Donnington

You will be the first line in all maintenance issues throughout your allocated site. You may be required to request specialist attendance following initial call out.

The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPM's. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.

Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Technician

· Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.

· Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.

· Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.

· Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance

· Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs

· Follow purchase order process.

· Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

· Ensure that compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times

Qualifications & Experience - Maintenance Technician

· NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.

· City and Guilds 2382 18th edition

· AM2/2391

· 3 phase electrics and its applications

 

· Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers and microwaves
