The Role - CNC Manual Grinder

My client, a leading manufacture specialising in the aerospace and defence industry, is currently seeking a talented CNC Grinder to join their team.

As a CNC Grinder you'll be responsible for operating and setting CNC Studer machines to produce parts to extremely tight tolerances. 

You'll be joining a great team within a vibrant employment sector.

 

Duties - CNC Manual Grinder

Operate and set CNC Studer grinding machines.Grind and machine exotic and hardened materials with precision.Perform first-off inspections and complete relevant quality documentation.Experience of Internal and External Grinding of complex components.Set up and run multiple machines and processes.

 

Background - CNC Manual Grinder

A recognised engineering apprenticeship.CNC grinding experience required.Good knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.Attention to detail and accuracy and process improvement.

We are looking for a CNC Milling setter operator to work in engineering manufacturing company based in Tewkesbury. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for setting and operating CNC 5 axis Milling machine with Mazatrol control machining precision component to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities of CNC miller

Machining Operations: Set up, operate, and run CNC machining processes on 5-axis machining centers and operate other machines when required.Perform manual and CMM inspection processesProcess Setup: Carry out all setups for products routed through the machining process.Design Input: Provide advice on the design of fixtures, programs, and tools relevant to the machining processes.Training: Train and guide operators in machine operation and inspection criteria.Quality: Conduct self-inspections and complete necessary quality audits to obtain self-certification inspection stamps.Documentation: Work from approved engineering drawings, inspection plans, and shop documentation, accurately recording required data.Maintenance: Perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery as per company policy.

Key Skills and experience:

Reasonable standard of secondary education.Experience with 5 axis machining centres Okuma and Mazak I200A recognized apprenticeship in machining or a related field.Previous experience in engineering or manufacturing role as a CNC setterAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to problem solve and use own initiative, working to extremely tight tolerances (+-0.010mm)Flexibility in shift patterns and a positive attitude towards lean manufacturing tools and techniques, including 5S.Strong timekeeping and attendance record.

Field Service Technician

My client is a global leader within the automation and packing industry who offer end to end manufacturing solutions to their clients

They are now on the lookout for an experience Multiskilled Field Service Technician to join their team and work across Scotland with the occasional travel to Northern Ireland.

The Planned Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on equipment at customer sites in accordance with service contract requirements. The role also involves supporting installations, overhauls, and retrofits of machinery, as well as chamber machine servicing and repairs. This position plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, promoting aftersales products, and ensuring optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities – Field Service Technician

To carry out scheduled maintenance in line with the agreed customer service contract.To develop existing service contracts to increase revenue/spares stock/OEE/consumables.To prepare reports of work undertaken for use within the company or for the customer.To advise on and promote aftersales products offered by the service department.To act in an advisory capacity with regard to customers spare parts holdings requirements.To maintain and develop customer relationships.To carry out any special tasks as reasonably requested by the Field Service Manager.

Qualifications & Experience – Field Service Technician

Hold a relevant engineering qualificationExperience in carrying out both mechanical and electrical maintenance (electrically bias)Food background or similarHold a full UK driving licence
