Key Responsibilities - Production Engineer

Experience & Qualifications - Production Engineer

Proven experience in a production or manufacturing engineering roleStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement techniquesKnowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (desirable)Ability to analyse data and implement effective solutionsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsRelevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent experience)

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Shift Pattern: 4 x 4 shift working (12 hours), 2 days and 2 nights on rotation (42 hour week)

The site produces the nations favourite Mr Kipling Cakes such as Cherry Bakewell's and Angel Slices. You will be part of a team of six, reporting directly to an Engineering Manager on each shift.

What you'll be doing:

What we need from you:

Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering for example - Level 3 Electrical/electronic engineering or similarPrevious experience of automated manufacturing environments. A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings

Key Responsibilities – Project Manager

Responsible for all Project Management aspects relating to the successful delivery of projects that have been assigned.Work with multi-disciplined teams and demonstrate full accountability for on time delivery of the agreed scopeManage project timing and maintain an accurate, up to date project timing plan. Previous experience working within an automotive Company ideally a 1st Tier Supplier.Educated to degree or equivalent level in a technically based subject.Relevant Project management experience, ideally with some qualification e.g. PRINCE 2Excellent presentation skills.Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels and develop good working relationships.Problem solving and negotiation skills.Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
