Position: HR Business Partner

Location: Stonehouse (GL10) x 3 days per week, Wolverhampton (WV1) x 2 days per week

Salary: £45,000- £55,000 per annum

Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:30- 15:30

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our clients growing manufacturing businesses.

Reporting directly to the Director, this role will partner with managers across both businesses, providing professional HR support and commercially focused people solutions. The successful candidate will lead employee relations matters, provide expert employment law guidance, support organisational development and ensure the businesses remain compliant with employment legislation and HR best practice.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working autonomously, building strong relationships with managers and making a genuine impact within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities – HR Business Partner

  • Employee Relations
    • Lead and manage employee relations cases, conduct investigations, support managers through formal processes, and prepare investigation reports to ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant decision-making.

  • Employment Law and Compliance
    • Provide expert advice on employment law and HR best practices, maintain HR policies and procedures, ensure legislative compliance, monitor legal developments, support GDPR and data protection requirements, and assist with HR audits and compliance reviews.

  • Performance and Talent Management
    • Support probation and performance management processes, coach managers on employee development and performance improvement, contribute to succession and workforce planning, and support learning and development initiatives across the business.

  • Recruitment and Onboarding
    • Managedend-to-end recruitment activities for salaried and operational roles, including agency and direct sourcing, CV screening, interview coordination and delivery, onboarding support, and the continuous improvement of recruitment attraction and retention strategies.

  • Manager Coaching and Support
    • Act as a trusted advisor to managers, building leadership capability through coaching and guidance, supporting complex employee relations and people management challenges, and promoting consistent people practices across the organisation.

  • HR Projects
    • Support organisational change and transformation initiatives, lead HR improvement projects, contribute to employee engagement and culture programmes, and drive continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.

 

Qualifications & Requirements – HR Business Partner

  • CIPD Level 5 Qualified or above (CIPD Level 7 Qualification is desirable)
  • Significant experience within a standalone position to include managing complex HR cases independently (ideally manufacturing, engineering or industrial sector)
  • Strong employee relations experience
  • Up to date knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • Ability to challenge constructively and professionally
  • Ability to manage a varied workload to include specific HR systems
  • Excellent investigation, report writing and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Role Purpose

The Customer Support Engineer provides technical support to customers and assists with service activities throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

Customer Support

Technical Support

Service Administration

Maintain accurate support tickets and service records.Record labour, parts used and resolution details.Raise quotations for chargeable repairs and service work.Process support orders within Sage.Prepare shipping paperwork and route cards where required.

Continuous Improvement

Help maintain troubleshooting guides and technical documentation.Record recurring faults and report trends to the Support Manager.Suggest improvements to products, documentation and support processes.Assist with maintaining the technical knowledge database.

Product Support

Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing, Test and Sales when required.Assist with testing systems prior to shipment.Assist with software testing where required (no programming experience necessary).

Customer Care

Follow up customers after service work has been completed.Collect customer feedback.Identify opportunities for service work or product upgrades and pass them to the Support Manager or Sales team.

Qualifications & Experience

Engineering or Scientific background.A Levels, apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification. (desirable)Good mechanical aptitude.Experience in a customer support or service environment.Basic electrical fault-finding skills.Good computer literacy.Excellent communication skills.Strong organisational skills.
