Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Pay Range/details: £47,000 per annum basic + overtime
Contract Type: Permanent
Omega are supporting leading global printing technology company in their search for a Field Service Engineer to cover the Midlands. The right Field Service Engineer will have previous experience of working on commercial equipment within a production environment alone and as part of a team is required.
Key Responsibilities – Field Service Engineer
- Diagnose and repair a range of advanced printing equipment, working on both electrical and mechanical issues to keep your technical skills sharp.
- Plan and prepare parts and resources to complete jobs efficiently, taking ownership of each task from start to finish.
- Deliver excellent customer service, communicating clearly with clients and colleagues while providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate and share expertise with colleagues, helping across teams and contributing to a supportive, dynamic work environment.
- Enjoy variety and flexibility in your work, including remote support, hands-on problem solving, and opportunities to develop new skills.
- Work safely and responsibly, adhering to company policies and health and safety regulations while embracing new challenges as they arise.
Qualifications & Requirements – Field Service Engineer
- Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., BTEC, City & Guilds, HNC) with strong electrical, mechanical, and computer-based skills.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial equipment in a production environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex machinery.
- Strong customer service skills, with clear verbal and written communication and the ability to manage customer expectations effectively.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional overnight stays and travel throughout the UK.
