Our client is a renowned and admired FMCG manufacturing business, enjoying UK dominance and market-leading status in their category sector. An opportunity has arisen for a temporary contract Multi-Skilled Engineer, mechanical bias, to hit the ground running on shift to help with site maintenance for a weekly temporary contract. 

Key Responsibilities – Contract Multi-Skilled Engineer

  • Responsible for a combination of planned and reactive maintenance and technical challenges to ensure maximum line efficiency
  • Perform fault-finding and diagnosis
  • Attend to breakdowns onsite, ensuring a rapid response to plant equipment and machinery breakdowns
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of Manufacturing and Automation machinery, including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, packing lines 
  • Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI’s through planned, preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Ensure the efficient running of a continuous process, making, moving and packing high quality products, packaged and prepared for delivery
  • Continually improving the performance of equipment and systems to support the development of the site
  • Agree on preventative maintenance plans

Qualifications & Requirements – Contract Mechanical Engineer

  • Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in an engineering discipline mechanical or electrical, in maintenance engineering
  • Production line experience on high-speed process manufacturing or packaging equipment in FMCG
  • PLC, Network knowledge preferred
  • A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
  • Computer literate
  • Team Player

Job Role – Storekeeper

The Storekeeper is responsible to execute product and material handling and movement within the warehouse in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards. They inspect and accept incoming shipments against supplier packing lists, ensuring items have been received in a satisfactory state.
Duties – Storekeeper

• Perform inspecting, labelling, receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing, disposal and cycle counting of inventory items.
• Accept supplier deliveries, checking that actual item received are in suitable condition and match the packing list and/or purchase order and report discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure outgoing inventory items are suitably packed and issued with correct and complete documentation.
• Improve efficiency and safety by optimizing warehouse bin locations.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
• Perform inventory cycle counting and support periodic physical counts.
• Perform tasks associated with Kitting and Kanban point-of-use replenishment and other materials management initiatives as directed by the Supervisor.
• Investigate and resolve local inventory and warehouse issues as requested by the Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
• Operate a forklift or other materials handling equipment upon completion of training and certification.

Skills/Experience – Storekeeper

• Experience working in store environment
• Forklift Licence (Not essential)
• Experience of MRP Systems

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Refrigeration ? Engineer ? to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance across several retail stores, maintaining, and repairing a range of refrigeration equipment. Additionally, you will undertake regular planned store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer.

 

Key Responsibilities - Refrigeration Engineer

Carrying out PPM and reactive refrigeration maintenance across a number of sites. ?Service and repair a range of ? SVQ/NVQ Level 3 within Refrigeration or Equivalent Qualification.City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1Experience working with supermarket ? refrigeration systems. ?Flexible to be part of the 24/7 on-call rota every 1:4 weeks.Full driving license.Experience using a PDA system.Ability to read technical drawings.Carried out PPM and reactive maintenance within a similar retail environment.

We are currently recruiting for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing operation based in Gloucestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical engineer looking to join a well-established manufacturing site where you'll play a key role in maintaining critical production equipment, maximising plant reliability and supporting continuous improvement across a fast-paced process environment.

 

What you'll be doing:

Providing electrical maintenance and breakdown support across the mill.Diagnosing electrical equipment failures and carrying out repairs safely and efficiently.Identifying root causes of equipment failures and implementing corrective actions to improve reliability.Following up on shift reports, SAP work orders and inspection reports.Completing planned preventative maintenance activities and feeding back completed work through the SAP maintenance management system.Locating, issuing and returning spare parts through the maintenance stores system.Working within Electrical and Mechanical Safe Systems of Work, issuing permits and certificates where required.Supporting engineering plant modifications through the Management of Change (MOC) process.Liaising with engineering and production teams to resolve long-term reliability issues.Carrying out a wide range of electrical maintenance activities including: Motor brush replacement and set-up.Investigation and rectification of electrical faults.Repair, overhaul and testing of AC and DC motors.Bearing, coupling and brush replacement on electrical rotating equipment.Installation, maintenance and testing of lighting systems.Fault finding and repair of portable electrical equipment.Diagnosis and rectification of faults such as short circuits, overheating and equipment malfunction.Maintenance, repair and testing of medium and low voltage power distribution systems.Working on diesel engine starters, generators and automatic control systems.Servicing and repairing electrical systems used on cranes, lifts and lifting equipment.Maintenance of circuit breakers, contactors and protective devices.Alignment and adjustment of electrical rotating machinery and drive systems.Fault finding and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Maintenance of overhead travelling cranes, compressors and ancillary plant equipment. What we need from you:

Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification.Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent electrical maintenance background.Knowledge of the 17th Edition IEE Regulations (18th Edition advantageous).Previous experience within a heavy industrial, manufacturing, process or continuous production environment.Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.Experience working with: AC and DC motors.Motor control systems.PLC-controlled equipment.Variable speed drives and modern drive technologies.Instrumentation and control systems.Low and medium voltage electrical systems. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Experience using CMMS systems, ideally SAP.Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and engineering teams.Flexible, self-motivated and proactive approach to maintenance activities.Experience within paper, pulp, FMCG, manufacturing, chemical or other process industries would be advantageous.
