Position: Welder/ Fabricator

Location: Bristol

Salary: £29250 to £35100 per annum

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

We are now seeking to recruit a Welder/ Fabricator for a busy manufacturing company based in Bristol. The appropriate candidate will be welding and fabricating steel or aluminium parts to bespoke build and assemblies i.e. cut, shape, and fabricate steel, stainless steel, and aluminium to precise measurements as well as operate fabrication machinery such as guillotines, steel working machines, bandsaws.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and weld metal components and structures according to specifications and drawings.
  • Read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and welding.
  • Operate various fabrication and welding equipment, including welding machines, cutting torches, vertical drilling, bending machines and grinders.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure fabricated components meet specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion.
  • MIG & TIG welding. 
  • Materials used include aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.
  • Good engineering drawing reading skills.
  • Cutting, Oxy-acetylene, plasma.
  • Fabrication skills, material cutting, bending, marking out etc.

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ in welding and Fabrication to level 2 or equivalent
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality fabricated and welded components.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Physical stamina to work in a workshop environment.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several retail stores, maintaining, and repairing a range of commercial heating systems and air conditioning units. Additionally, you will undertake regular planned store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Engineer

Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across a number of sites. Service and repair a range of mechanical equipment, e.g. boilers, fans, pumps, AHU's, FCU's.Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications.Order spares to the laid-down procedures.Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the HVAC supervisor of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Supervisor to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role is responsible for effectively planning and leading HVAC teams to ensure all services are completed to the agreed standard and comply with all regulatory and company standards. This role is also responsible for overseeing all technical standards within the operation. You will be the technical expert and key account holder for FGas ensuring maintenance of our obligations to ensure our ongoing membership, in addition you will support and guide engineers through any training.

Key Responsibilities – HVAC Supervisor

Ensure that all sites are covered for maintenance services, including Reactive and PPM.Provide technical support and coaching to Regional Site & Maintenance Technicians.Ensure under performance on KPI’s is understood and action plans are in place to drive improvement.Support the Divisional Account Manager on all technical, people and FM process issues.Provide cover for Divisional Account Manager during times of absence, holidays and meetings.Complete specified reports and compliance documentation and take action on any issues raisedAudit FM documentation and action on any non-compliance issues.Deal promptly with all Help Desk calls and ensure that the issues are resolved effectively, escalating where necessary to the appropriate management level.Regularly communicate with the customer on all FM activity.

Qualifications & Experience – HVAC Supervisor

Educated to GCSE / Standard Grade level as a minimum, ideally NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.City and Guilds 2381 17th Edition Ability to maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. fans, pumps and compressors A working knowledge of the maintenance service within the FM industry is essential, with previous working knowledge of a multi-client contracted environment being desirable; and PPM and compliance backgroundPrevious experience of effectively leading and managing a team is essentialPrevious experience of developing client relationships would be advantageousStrong PC literacy, with experience in extracting, collating and presenting performance data along with a good understanding of the CAFM.
