Position: Production Operator

Location: Bristol

Hourly rate: £13.50 to £14.00 per hour

Type of position: contract till Christmas 2026

Hours per week: 38.75 hours a week, days

We are now seeking to recruit a Production Operator to join engineering manufacturing business based in Bristol. The appropriate candidate would be operating various machines and tools to balance our customers’ parts. This is a great opportunity for someone who either has previous fitting and machining experience in a workshop or someone with practical skills who wants to build a career within the engineering industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting machine operating ideally manual section
  • Supporting stores area in busy times
  • General driving
  • Timely completion of relevant paperwork
  • Tidying & cleaning
  • ‘Any other duties required by the company

Requirements:

  • Milling machines or production machine experience
  • Operating drilling machines
  • Work with powered hand tools
  • General hand tools

Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in their search for a Refrigeration Engineer working on commercial refrigeration equipment. 

You will be the first line in all service and maintenance throughout allocated sites. They will also effectively maintain service and repair Refrigeration Equipment in customer locations and aid HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits.

Key Responsibilities – Refrigeration Engineer

Identify faults and carry out effective repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.Communicate professionally with customers on site and coordinate with internal service administration teams.Maintain up to date knowledge of new products, technical updates, and product developments.Handle engineer and customer queries over the phone, offering clear and accurate guidance.Report product issues and work closely with QC and Service Managers on product improvements and safety matters.

Commercial or Transport Refrigeration experienceTime served apprenticeship with an NVQ / City & Guilds refrigeration qualification.F-Gas Category 1 certification (C&G 2079 / CITB refrigerant handling).Strong refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic skills, with proven experience in fault finding and problem solving.Good refrigeration knowledge, including commercial systems and electrical safety awareness.Ability to read technical drawings and apply relevant Health & Safety legislation.Hydrocarbon experience (desired but not essential).
