Job Title: CNC Machinist

Pay Range: £37,000 inclusive of shift allowance
Contract Type: Perm - Double Days

Working hours: week 1 6:00 m to 02:00 pm Monday to Friday and week 2 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Early finish on Friday 11:00 am on AM shift and 7:00 pm on PM shift

Key Responsibilities – CNC Machinist

Set and operate 3 and 4 axis CNC milling machines with Haas controls to manufacture precision componentsWork from engineering drawings, CAD data, and written instructionsUse inspection and measuring equipment to ensure components meet required tolerancesSelf-inspect components to maintain quality standardsAccurately complete relevant documentation and production recordsMaintain a clean and organised working environment

Qualifications & Requirements – CNC Machinist

Previous experience setting and operating CNC machines (any control system as training will be provided on HAAS)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience within a manufacturing or engineering environmentFlexible approach to shift working patterns, ability to work rotating AM and PM shift Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood timekeeping and housekeeping

The Role

As a Product Certification Engineer, you'll manage certification and regulatory compliance activities throughout the entire product lifecycle. Working closely with engineering, project management, manufacturing, and external certification bodies, you'll help bring technically advanced products to market while ensuring compliance with international regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities - Product Certification Engineer

Lead certification activities for new products from concept through to market launch.Prepare and submit technical files, test reports, and certification applications.Act as the key contact for notified bodies and regulatory authorities.Support the creation of Declarations of Conformity and regulatory documentation.Maintain product approvals and certification validity throughout the product lifecycle.Manage compliance records and certification tracking systems.Provide regulatory and certification guidance to product development teams.Ensure certification requirements are integrated into product design activities.Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives related to compliance and certification processes.

Experience & Qualifications - Product Certification Engineer

Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Science, or a related technical discipline.Previous experience in a Product Certification, Compliance, Regulatory, or Product Safety role.Strong understanding of international product compliance and certification processes.Experience working with CE Marking, ATEX, and DWDKnowledge of UK, EU, and international regulatory requirements.Experience liaising with notified bodies, testing laboratories, and certification organisations.Ability to interpret technical standards and apply them within product development environments.Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Experience within instrumentation, industrial electronics, automation, manufacturing, or regulated engineering sectors would be advantageous.

Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in their search for a Refrigeration Engineer working on commercial refrigeration equipment. 

You will be the first line in all service and maintenance throughout allocated sites. They will also effectively maintain service and repair Refrigeration Equipment in customer locations and aid HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits.

Key Responsibilities – Refrigeration Engineer

Identify faults and carry out effective repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.Communicate professionally with customers on site and coordinate with internal service administration teams.Maintain up to date knowledge of new products, technical updates, and product developments.Handle engineer and customer queries over the phone, offering clear and accurate guidance.Report product issues and work closely with QC and Service Managers on product improvements and safety matters.

Qualifications & Requirements – Refrigeration Engineer

Commercial or Transport Refrigeration experienceTime served apprenticeship with an NVQ / City & Guilds refrigeration qualification.F-Gas Category 1 certification (C&G 2079 / CITB refrigerant handling).Strong refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic skills, with proven experience in fault finding and problem solving.Good refrigeration knowledge, including commercial systems and electrical safety awareness.Ability to read technical drawings and apply relevant Health & Safety legislation.Hydrocarbon experience (desired but not essential).
