Job Title: Paint Sprayer

We have an excellent opportunity for a Paint Sprayer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Cardiff. This night shift role is key to ensuring components are prepared, coated, and inspected to the highest quality standards, supporting production output and customer requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, processing, and inspecting components using a variety of surface treatment and coating techniques, while maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities – Paint Sprayer
• Prepare components prior to painting using masking and surface preparation techniques.
• Apply coatings using spray equipment in line with specifications and job requirements.
• Carry out racking and jigging of parts to ensure effective processing and coating coverage.
• Remove masking and complete finishing activities without causing damage to components.
• Clean and prepare components using approved materials and processes.
• Inspect components against drawings and specifications using basic measurement techniques.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards and customer expectations.
• Accurately complete all production and process documentation.
• Maintain traceability of components throughout the production process.
• Handle and move components carefully to prevent damage at all stages.
• Support the safe operation and basic maintenance of the production area and equipment.
• Work flexibly across departments to support business needs and production targets.
• Participate in audits (internal, customer, and external) as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• Follow 5S principles to ensure an organised and efficient workspace.
Qualifications & Requirements – Paint Sprayer
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with documentation and traceability.
• Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to support different departments.
Desirable (not essential):
• Previous experience in paint spraying or surface treatment processes.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of inspection techniques and measurement equipment.
• Experience working to quality standards (e.g. aerospace or similar industries).
