Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a busy and forward-thinking engineering team at our Oakham site. This Maintenance Engineer role is a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of moulding machines, automation equipment and ancillary systems, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency. The Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in both reactive and planned maintenance, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer
- Provide shift breakdown cover on moulding machines automation equipment and ancillary equipment
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all relevant machinery and systems
- Diagnose and repair faults in an efficient and safe manner
- Support and implement improvements to manufacturing automation processes
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to achieve shared business goals
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Promote and adhere to safe working practices at all times
- Comply with all company policies procedures and regulations
- Support training and development of colleagues alongside the Maintenance Supervisor
- Deliver improvement targets including OEE within area of responsibility
- Assist other engineers as required
Qualifications & Requirements - Maintenance Engineer
- Time served engineer with an electrical bias ideally multi skilled
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
- Injection moulding experience would be advantageous
- Self motivated with a proactive approach to improving equipment performance
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
