Job Title: Injection Moulding Setter

Location: West Midlands

Omega are supporting a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business in their search for an Injection Moulding Setter to join their production team. The successful Injection Moulding Setter will be responsible for machine setting, process optimisation and troubleshooting to ensure the efficient production of high-quality plastic components across a range of injection moulding machines.

Key Responsibilities - Injection Moulding Setter

  • Set and operate injection moulding machines including Demag, Arburg, Krauss Maffei and Billion.
  • Carry out mould changes and machine start-ups to meet production requirements.
  • Optimise processing parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, cooling times) to improve cycle times and part quality.
  • Diagnose and resolve machine and process faults to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure components meet specification.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of moulds, injection units and auxiliary equipment.
  • Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to improve performance and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of machine settings, production runs and tooling changes.
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications & Requirements - Injection Moulding Setter

  • Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with Demag, Arburg, Krauss Maffei or Billion machines.
  • Strong understanding of plastics materials, drying requirements and processing behaviour.
  • Experience with hot runner systems.
  • Robotics and automation experience (desirable).
  • Basic mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
