Role Overview – Machine Tool Maintenance Technician
My client is a leading manufacturer specialising in the production of bespoke hydraulic products. They require a capable and conscientious Machine Tool Maintenance Technician to strengthen their maintenance function. This is a permanent nightshift opportunity based at our client’s modern, high-tech site in Tewkesbury.
Key Responsibilities – Machine Tool Maintenance Technician
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs on CNC and conventional machine tools, plus occasional support for production test rigs.
- Verifying that all work satisfies stringent quality and calibration standards before handing equipment back to operations.
- Sourcing replacement components and maintaining adequate stock levels to minimise downtime.
- Keeping method statements and risk documentation current while observing all safety regulations.
- Supporting lean initiatives and workplace organisation improvements in line with 5S principles.
Qualifications and Requirements – Machine Tool Maintenance Technician
- Apprentice trained in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
- Practical understanding of electrical schematics and diagnostic tools for machine tools.
- Exposure to automated or robotic equipment is desirable.
- Comfortable with MS Office applications; experience of computerised maintenance systems is preferred.
- Positive, can-do attitude with strong reliability and teamwork values.
