Job Title: Electrical CNC Maintenance Engineer

Location: Leeds and surrounding areas

Pay Range/details: Circa £55,000 OTE

Key Responsibilities - Electrical CNC Maintenance Engineer 

Install and commission CNC machine tools and automation equipmentDiagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and CNC control faultsCarry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicingFault-find on CNC systems, servo drives, spindle drives, motors, PLCs, and safety circuitsSupport troubleshooting of CNC controls including Heidenhain, Siemens SINUMERIK and Fanuc Interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and technical documentationBackup and restore CNC parameters and machine dataPerform machine testing, calibration, and operational verificationProvide technical support and training to customersComplete service reports and documentation accurately and promptly Liaise with internal departments regarding parts and technical issues Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and site procedures

Qualifications & Requirements - Electrical CNC Maintenance Engineer 

Proven experience servicing and repairing CNC machine toolsStrong electrical and electronic fault-finding skillsHands-on experience with CNC controls including Heidenhain, Siemens SINUMERIK and Fanuc Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematicsSolid knowledge of servo systems, AC/DC drives, PLCs, and machine safety circuitsExperience using electrical test equipment and OEM diagnostic toolsAbility to work independently in a field-based environmentExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel with overnight staysHNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is desirablePLC programming knowledge (Siemens STEP 7 / TIA Portal) is advantageous

Proven experience servicing and repairing CNC machine toolsStrong mechanical engineering background · Hands-on experience with CNC controls Heidenhain Siemens SINUMERIK and FanucAbility to diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faultsExperience with machine geometry precision alignment hydraulics pneumatics and lubrication systemsAbility to work independently in a field-based environmentExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel with overnight staysApprentice-trained engineer or equivalent qualification is desirableHNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is desirableExperience with multi-axis machining centres turning centres PLC fault-finding and laser calibration is advantageous
