Sprinkler Service Engineer

Our client is expanding their service department, supporting customers nationwide with a reputation for excellent service and delivery. Post-installation servicing is essential to keeping systems fully compliant and operational. Whether it's special risk, detection, or sprinkler systems, they provide comprehensive service and maintenance, combined with a 24/7 emergency call-out service.

This role would suit a Service Engineer, Multiskilled Engineer, Commercial Sprinkler Engineer, Sprinkler Service Maintenance Engineer.

  • Must have experience in servicing all types of the following valve sets - Wet, dry, alternate, deluge and pre-Action.
  • Must be able to carry out 5-point flow tests on sprinkler fire pumps and general service checks.
  • Sprinkler Installation Level 2 qualified would be desirable but not essential.
  • Plumbing / Piping Knowledge & fault finding on sprinkler systems - essential.
  • Previous experience gained within Commercial / Industrial buildings environment.
  • Experienced in small works install.
  • Understanding and exposure to reporting electronically.
  • Full driving licence
  • DBS check
  • Flexible approach to working hours and location, as will cover large area of the UK
  • Ability to work unsupervised or in a team
  • Professional, pleasant attitude and smart in appearance, capable of communicating diplomatically to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Polite communication skills and ability to know when to escalate problems
  • IT literate as all jobs are booked on tablets
  • Ability to problem solve and use own initiative when on site
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Provide an excellent customer experience

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) requirements, BS EN 12845, and UK fire protection regulations.You will ensure that all fire sprinkler system designs, installations, and maintenance activities meet the highest quality standards and are fully compliant with LPCB and other relevant certifications. This is a pivotal role that supports our commitment to delivering safe, compliant, and high-performing fire protection systems across all projectsKey Responsibilities – Fire Sprinkler Quality Assurance Manager Lead the development, implementation, and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) with a focus on LPCB compliance.Oversee QA and compliance checks for all fire sprinkler projects from design through to final commissioning.Ensure all works meet BS EN 12845, LPS 1048, and other applicable fire safety standards and guidance.Act as the internal subject matter expert on LPCB requirements, including system categorisation, approvals, and ongoing audit compliance.Conduct internal audits and support external LPCB audits to maintain company approvals.Review and verify documentation including QA checklists, commissioning reports, and maintenance records for LPCB conformance.Provide guidance to design, installation, and maintenance teams on quality standards and best practices.Identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Maintain strong working relationships with LPCB auditors, certification bodies, insurers, and clients.Support training and continuous improvement across the company in QA and compliance-related processes. Qualifications & Experience – Fire Sprinkler Quality Assurance Manager Proven experience in the fire sprinkler industry, with a deep understanding of LPCB standards, particularly LPS 1048.Excellent knowledge of BS EN 12845, UK Building Regulations (Part B), and relevant codes of practice.Familiarity with third-party certification processes and audit requirements.Strong background in quality assurance/control, ideally within an LPCB-certified company.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organisational and reporting skills.Valid UK driving licence.
