Role Overview – CNC Machinist

Our leading aerospace client, a premier CNC machining specialist serving top-tier aerospace, motorsport, medical, and OEM sectors, is seeking a talented CNC Machinist to join their cutting-edge facility in Yateley, As a CNC Machinist in the CNC Turning section, you’ll operate state-of-the-art Mazak and Fanuc-controlled machines to produce high precision components.

Key Responsibilities – CNC Machinist

  • Set and operate CNC Turning centres to aerospace-grade standards. 
  • Perform occasional programme edits. 
  • Utilize conversational systems like Mazatrol and Hurco (training provided). 
  • Ensure programmes deliver flawless performance for critical components. 
  • Strictly adhere to health and safety protocols. 
  • Support efficient operations within the section through general duties.

Key Qualifications & Experience  - CNC Machinist

  • Proven expertise in setting and operating CNC Machinery. 
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc; Mazatrol or conversational systems advantageous). 
  • Advanced setting and proving skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings. 
  • In-depth understanding of materials, speeds, feeds, and cutting tools. 
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, etc.). 
  • Capability to produce high-accuracy, complex components under pressure. 
  • Excellent prioritization and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of aerospace regulated components.
  • Recognizable apprenticeship with substantial post-training experience in aerospace or similar industries.
