Role: Injection Moulding Setter

Location: Oxfordshire

Salary: Competitive DOE

Shift: 3-On, 3-Off, 12-hour rotating days (07:00-19:00)

 

We are working with a leading plastics manufacturer, seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join their busy production team in Oxfordshire. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company producing high-quality plastic components for a variety of industries.

 

Responsibilities - Injection Moulding Setter

  • Prepare machines and production areas for mould changes, ensuring all tools, materials, and equipment are ready for efficient and safe changeovers.

     

  • Safely remove and install moulds, following all safe systems of work (SSOWs) and company procedures.

     

  • Carry out routine machine setups and adjustments to achieve consistent, high-quality parts.

     

  • Monitor machine performance, cycle times, and quality standards, taking corrective action where necessary.

     

  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately, including shot settings, setup sheets, and performance logs.

     

  • Identify, report, and resolve machine or process issues to maintain production uptime.

     

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including SMED, TPM, automation, and material efficiency.

     

  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork within the production area.

     

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times.

     

 

Requirements - Injection Moulding Setter

  • Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter in a production environment.

     

  • Formal qualifications in Injection Moulding Setting/Processing.

     

  • Experience operating lifting equipment, cranes, and powered pallet trucks (PPT).

     

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

     

  • Team player with a flexible and proactive approach.

     

  • IMT qualification is desirable but not essential.

     

  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the business.
