The Opportunity - Quality Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our client’s team at their state-of-the-art facility based in Tewkesbury on a permanent basis.

Our client design and manufacture complex mechanical products for global application in the aerospace and defence sectors.

Key deliverables of this position will centre around APQP and PPAP, therefore demonstrable experience in these areas is a necessity.

 

Key Responsibilities: Quality Engineer

• Support APQP integration and implementation into NPI process.
• Support advanced quality planning activities.
• Incorporate customer requirements into NPI processes.
• Integrate lessons learned into APQP activities.
• Coordinate and monitor PPAP activities.
• Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing processes.
• Support cross functional teams in non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Support external compliance audits.
• Resolve corrective actions raised during audits.

 

Skills and Experience: Quality Engineer

• Experience in general APQP and PPAP application.
• Experience of working in an AS9100 environment.
• Knowledge and practical experience with PFMEA.
• Experience in supporting NPI.
• Effective communication internally and externally.
