They will be required to accurately read and interpret technical drawings to correctly machine a variety of materials to customer specific processes and requirements, perform appropriate duties as assigned by management, maintain a safe and clean workspace and follow established safety rules and regulations.Report breakdowns, equipment faults and concerns to ManagementBe actively involved in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectivesEnsure all lost time, minor and trivial accidents are reportedUndertake continuous training and developmentSupport the engineering team with quotations if requiredAssist in tooling buy off and trialsAbility to self-inspect own work using precision inspection tools and devicesAssembling, fitting, and repairing tools
Qualifications & Requirements – CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator
Good communication and interpersonal skillsEffective problem-solving skillsAbility to work alone or as part of a small teamGood understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor qualityPrevious experience within the aerospace tool making industry advantageousEngineering apprenticeship as a tool maker or equivalentMinimum 5 years previous experience working in a tool making/engineering environmentExperience working with an MRP system and following standard operating procedures / work order instructionsThe successful candidates will have the opportunity to become part of our strong team and enjoy the benefits of working in a friendly atmosphere for a long-established family company who care and support their employees and have a track record for training and developing staff.
