Where changes are necessary, provide feedback to Production Engineering by completing a Program Prove Out Improvement Request when CNC Programs / Tooling / Set Up Sheets need correcting or can be improved.
Ensure good and professional communication is maintained with your opposite shift machinist during shift handover.
Ensuring non-conforming parts are reported immediately, with root cause analysis, documented and given to the Machine Shop Supervisor.
Attention to detail ensures that parts meet strict specifications, directly contributing to the reliability and safety of final products. Additionally, you uphold safety protocols and work effectively within team settings, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement and productivity.
It is expected that the operator will support the work of the company apprenticeship program & on the job training when needed.

Qualifications & Requirements– EDM Machinist

Qualifications & Requirements – International Service Engineer
Must have completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship. ONC or HNC in Engineering would be advantage.Mechanically based skillset with a proven track record of mechanical assembly and fault diagnosis.Able to use measuring equipment such as Micrometre and Vernier callipers with an attention to detail.Able to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings.Able to read and interpret pneumatic drawings and circuits. Fault find pneumatic circuits to component level.Basic understanding of electrical control circuits.Basic understanding of PLC Machine controls.Able to write concise informative reports and offer solutions to problems.Self-motivated and enthusiastic and able to communicate at all levels.Must hold a valid passport and be willing to travel internationally and be very flexible in terms of working hours and travel.Comply with the latest vaccinations, inoculations and blood tests for foreign travel.

They will be required to accurately read and interpret technical drawings to correctly machine a variety of materials to customer specific processes and requirements, perform appropriate duties as assigned by management, maintain a safe and clean workspace and follow established safety rules and regulations.Report breakdowns, equipment faults and concerns to ManagementBe actively involved in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectivesEnsure all lost time, minor and trivial accidents are reportedUndertake continuous training and developmentSupport the engineering team with quotations if requiredAssist in tooling buy off and trialsAbility to self-inspect own work using precision inspection tools and devicesAssembling, fitting, and repairing tools
