Position: CNC Operator

Location: Wednesbury

Position: Full time Permanent Nightshift

Working hours:  46 per week Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 06:00pm

Salary: £40000 to £42400

This role provides the business with the running of one or more CNC turning machines in their Cell. The CNC Operator will be responsible for crafting and maintaining precision parts and components, which are crucial in industries such as aerospace and defence.

Responsibilities of CNC Operator

  • Operate Fanuc controlled lathes
  • Carrying out first off inspections using handheld gauges, micrometres and verniers Working with a variety of exotic materials
  • Working to tight tolerances
  • Producing high volume batch work
  • Having a detailed understanding of engineering drawing, tooling selection, work holding & cutting strategy

Qualifications & Requirements – CNC Operator

  • Previous CNC operator Experience
  • Attention to detail Must be able to read from engineering drawings Must be able to read from verniers and micrometres
  • Good level of interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Knowledge of Fanuc controls
