Position: Mechanical Test Technician
Location: Gloucester
type of position: Permanent

Working hours :37 hours per week flex start and finish

Salary: 36,000 per annum


Mechanical Test Technician required by industry leading engineering company to work at their Gloucester site. The successful candidate will for using hydraulic test rigs to test a variety of mechanical and hydraulic components.

Main Duties – Mechanical Test Technician

  • Test of hydraulic and mechanical components, following written instructions and adhering to industry standards and health and safety practices.
  • Testing units to the correct specifications and recording results.
  • Carrying out fault finding and repair of components where required.
  • Following test procedures and ensuring full traceability.
  • Supporting with quality inspection, investigations and project work.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of company health and safety policy.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following – Mechanical Test Technician

  • A background within a similar role, working with mechanical or hydraulic components ideally in assembly and test.
  • An understanding of health and safety risks associated with high pressure testing.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information.
  • Experience of working to tight tolerances and deadlines.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work well as part of a team.
